Rainbow Beach Tourist Centre - The journey begins on the mainland with a morning briefing at Freedom Rainbow Beach. At 9:30, after the briefing concludes and everyone is prepared, the group departs for Fraser Island (K’Gari). A brief 10-minute drive leads to the ferry, where a short barge crossing takes you to the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world! Upon arrival, there is a drive of approximately 1 hour to Eurong Resort along Fraser Island’s beach highway, the 75 Mile Beach, which has a speed limit of 80 km/49 mph. Here, you can purchase a coffee and a snack for morning tea (at your own expense).
Lake McKenzie - Next, the tour heads to the stunning Lake McKenzie, renowned for its breathtaking scenery and nearly crystal-clear waters. After refreshing, the group travels to a private campsite near the beach for an early dinner and storytelling with new friends.
