Chefchaouen - The tour proceeds to the enchanting white and blue city of Chefchaouen. Here, you will discover the best of the medina and spend the night in a local riad or hotel.
Chefchaouen – Fes
Chefchaouen - After breakfast, the tour continues towards Volubilis to admire the Roman ruins, which cover a vast area and offer stunning views over the valley and hills.
Volubilis - Following the exploration of the ruins, the journey heads to Meknes for lunch and a stroll to appreciate the historical monuments and the impressive walls surrounding the tomb of Moulay Ismail.
Fes - The day concludes with a drive to Fes for dinner and an overnight stay in a local riad.
Fes Sightseeing
Fes - Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s four “Imperial Cities.” The medieval city of Fes El Bali, or “Old Fes,” remains intact and unspoiled. During the tour, you will visit the exotic Bou Inania Medersa, the Medina, and the Kairaouine Mosque, where you can photograph the beautiful courtyard from the main gate, as well as the famous souks. In the afternoon, visit Fes El Jdid, or “New Fes,” and the Museum of Moroccan Arts. The night is spent in the riad.
Fes – Merzouga
Ifrane - Departing from Fes at 8 o’clock, the journey travels via Azrou, where you can see Barbary apes in the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas. Lunch is in Midelt, known as “the apple capital,” at the foot of the Ayachi Mountain.
Merzouga - The tour continues over the Tizi-n-Talremt pass and through the Ziz Valley, renowned for its palm trees and the length of the oasis. Along the road, there are numerous “ksars,” small villages of individual houses. The route leads to Er Rachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils. Upon reaching the bivouac in Erg Chebbi, you will be welcomed with a glass of tea and have time to explore the dunes before sunset. Dinner is served, followed by an evening of music and an overnight stay in a nomad tent.
Merzouga – Dades Gorges
Merzouga - If you rise early, you can witness the spectacular sunrise, where the color of the dunes and the play of shadows create an awe-inspiring sight. After breakfast, enjoy a camel ride for a couple of hours (or less, depending on your preference) before departing for Tinghir and the Toudgha Gorges for lunch.
Gargantas del Todra - The road passes through Tinjdad and the Toudgha Valley. Here, there are many opportunities to walk, such as along the river through the gardens or up the road on the opposite side of the gorges.
Dades Gorges - Later, the itinerary continues to the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorges for an overnight stay in a hotel.
Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Vallee Des Roses - After breakfast, a walk in the Dades Gorges is scheduled. Back in the car, the trip to Ouarzazate continues, going off-road along the Boutarar piste to visit Berber nomads in their caves and enjoy a glass of tea with them. The journey proceeds through the Valley of the Roses, famous for its Rose Festival in May, where highly valued oils, creams, and soaps are produced. You will reach the kasbahs of Skoura, the most well-known being Kasbah Amredil, which you can stop to visit.
Ait Ben Haddou - After exploring Ouarzazate, the tour reaches Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage site and the backdrop for many Hollywood blockbusters like Kingdom of Heaven and Gladiator. It is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco and one of the most visited spots in the country. From there, the road continues to Telouet, along the recently asphalted road high above the beautiful green valley below. Telouet is situated right in the midst of the mountains and was once the seat of the last Pasha of Marrakesh, El Glaoui, from where the highest pass in Africa, Tizi-n-Tichka, was controlled.
Marrakech - By the end of the afternoon, the tour arrives in Marrakesh, having crossed the highest pass in North Africa.
