Day 1: Casablanca Airport – Rabat
Rabat - Upon arrival in Morocco’s largest industrial city, a driver will be ready to greet you at the airport’s main exit. Depending on your flight schedule, you may stop at the Hassan II Mosque to admire a stunning example of Moroccan architecture before continuing to Rabat to explore the capital’s most intriguing sites. Overnight accommodations will be in a Riad/Hotel in Rabat.
Casablanca - Visit the Hassan II Mosque and enjoy lunch en route to Rabat.
Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Moulay Driss – Volubilis – Fes
Fes - After breakfast, head to Meknes, one of the kingdom’s imperial cities and the former capital, known for Sultan Moulay Ismail’s storehouse. Take several photo stops at Bab Mansour, Lahdim Square, Bab Lakhmis, and the Jewish cemetery before proceeding to Moulay Driss for panoramic views over lush plains, agave plants, and olive trees. Enjoy a 1-hour lunch break. Then, visit Volubilis for a guided walking tour of this captivating Roman city, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997. Overnight stay in Fes at a Riad/hotel.
Meknes - Tour Meknes by car.

Moulay Idriss - Stop for coffee, restroom break, and photos.
Day 3: Fes – Exploring the city with a local guide.
Fes - Today, embark on a guided tour to explore the medina and the famous Souks of Fes. Wander through narrow cobbled streets lined with ancient mosques, towering green-glazed minarets, and unique Andalusian architecture. Visit sites of cultural and historical significance, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the world’s oldest university. The tour also includes visits to the tanneries and the ceramic cooperative to witness traditional Moroccan crafts. Overnight at a hotel/riad.
Moulay Idriss - Visit Moulay Driss and stop for coffee and photos.
Meknes - Tour Meknes and possibly have lunch.
Day 4: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
Merzouga - After breakfast, depart for Merzouga via Ifran, a town styled like a Swiss village. Stop for coffee and a brief look at the city. Visit cedar forests to see monkeys climbing trees. Lunch is in Midelt, “the apple capital,” at the foot of Ayachi Mountain. Continue over the Tizi-n-Talremt pass (1,907 meters above sea level) through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm trees and oasis. Pass numerous “Ksars,” small villages of individual houses, before reaching Er Rachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils. Arrive in Merzouga to admire Morocco’s unique dunes. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the evening transformation of the dunes. In Merzouga, camels await to take you on a ride to watch a splendid sunset and head to the bivouac for dinner and music under the Milky Way.

Erfoud - Stop for coffee.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorges – Skoura
Todgha Gorge - Rise early to witness the breathtaking sunrise, then ride camels back to the hotel along the dune line for a quick shower and breakfast. Bid farewell to the desert and embark on a new adventure. En route to Erfoud, visit the traditional market of Rissani and possibly the Mausoleum of the founder of Morocco’s Alaouite Dynasty. This quiet town, once the ancient capital of Tafilalet, gained prominence as a major caravan center. Next, arrive at Morocco’s great canyons, Todra Gorges, beyond the central High Atlas Mountains. The contrasting landscapes resemble Colorado, with high plateaus, gorges, and peaks shaped by erosion. The area is inhabited by Berbers. Enjoy a hike through these magnificent canyons and travel along the road of 1,000 Kasbahs, lined with enormous kasbahs. Pass through Boumalne Dades, on the edge of Dades Valley, which originates in the High Atlas Mountains, supporting a large Berber community with its rich agriculture. Along this road, the Valley of Roses appears, with its green alfalfa plants, olive trees, fig trees, and grapes. Upon reaching Skoura Palmary, spend the night with dinner and breakfast at a Riad/Hotel.
Rissani - Explore the souks of Rissani and sample local cuisine.
Boumalne Dades - Pause for coffee and photos.
El Kelaa M’gouna - Stop for local products.
Day 6: Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakesh.
Marrakech - After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Marrakech, including a visit to Ouarzazate, often considered the last major outpost before the Sahara Desert. Filmmakers have flocked here to shoot blockbusters like Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and many others. Kasbah Taourirt, a citadel against the Atlas Mountains, will be our next stop. This impressive fortification features nearly 300 rooms and a maze of passageways, steps, and key lock doors, with only a narrow entrance connecting it to the outside world. Take a break to visit the studios and capture some iconic cinema scenes. On the way back to Marrakech, visit Aït Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city’ along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River, it boasts beautiful kasbahs, some still inhabited. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it has been the setting for many films. Stop for lunch en route to Marrakech. Upon arrival, check into your Riad/hotel. Dinner and breakfast are included.
Ouarzazate - Visit the studios.
Telouet - Stop to visit the Kasbah of Telouet.
Ait Ben Haddou - Visit and have lunch.
Day 7: Exploring Marrakech with a local guide.
Marrakech - After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Marrakech, starting with the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, the Souks, and numerous hidden treasures. After lunch, continue the tour to the historical Koutoubia Mosque and the bustling Jemaa el-Fna, the heart of the Medina. Enjoy an exciting evening with local performers, storytellers, and delicious grilled dishes. The tour also includes a visit to Madrassa Ben-Youssef (currently under construction). In the afternoon, visit Majorelle Gardens, established by French painter Jacques Majorelle in 1919. He created a beautiful home, workshop, and vast garden for growing exotic plants and trees. The gardens opened to the public in 1947 but deteriorated after his death in 1962. In the late afternoon, the driver will take you to explore the new city (Guilez). At night, enjoy a delightful dinner at your accommodation.
