Rabat - Next, travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco! Visit the Hassan Mosque in Rabat before heading to Meknès, the 16th-century capital ruled by Moulay Ismail.
Chefchaouen - Journey to Ouazane and then to Chefchaouen, passing through the picturesque Rif mountains. Overnight stay in a local riad.

CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES - FES
Chefchaouen - After breakfast at your riad, begin your journey to Fes via Ouazzan and the Roman site of Volubilis.
Volubilis - After a few hours of driving, arrive at Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman site dating back to 225 BC, featuring stunning mosaics from the 3rd century BC. Enjoy a guided tour and learn about the Roman Empire.
Meknes - Continue to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco. In Meknes, visit the impressive Bab Mansour gate built by Sultan My Ismail, the granary, and the Sahrij Souani, used for irrigation and plantation. The tour also includes the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
Fes - Proceed via the highway to Fes. Overnight stay at a luxurious riad in the medina. (BB)
EXPLORING FES
Fes - After breakfast at your riad, start exploring Fes, “the Spiritual City of Morocco.” Spend the morning exploring the Medina and its alleys, visiting sites of cultural and historical interest, including the renowned Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), the Medrasa Bouanania, the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain. After lunch, visit the Royal Palace gate, stroll through the Jewish quarter “the Mellah,” and explore the pottery cooperative. In the afternoon, visit one of the fortresses for a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes. Overnight stay at the same riad.
FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA
Fes - After breakfast, travel to Ifrane city, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” through the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains.
Azrou - Stop at the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you can see the Barbarian apes. Notice the changing scenery as you approach Errachidia city. After lunch in Midelt, continue through the stunning Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. Travel through Berber villages to Erfoud, then to Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, the current ruling royal family in Morocco.
Merzouga - Arrive in Merzouga at the end of the day, where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea and ride a camel to witness the sunset amidst the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Spend the night at a desert camp, where dinner will be served. (well-equipped camp)
SAHARA DESERT – TODGHA GORGE – DADES VALLEY
Merzouga - Your camel guide will wake you early to witness what might be the most beautiful sunrise of your life. Then, enjoy a peaceful camel trek back to your riad, appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes as they change with the light throughout the day.
Gargantas del Todra - After breakfast and a hot shower in a traditional guest house, depart for Tinghir and Todgha gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Here, you can hike along its valley.
Dades Gorges - Travel through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Overnight stay in a riad or guesthouse in the heart of the gorge. (dinner and breakfast)
DADES VALLEY – AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH – MARRAKECH
Dades Gorges - After breakfast, drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is known as the way of a thousand Kasbahs, offering numerous opportunities for stunning photographs. Stop at Kalaat M’Gouna, “the rose city,” to purchase rosewater, which will keep your linens smelling fresh long after your trip.
Ouarzazate - Continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa.” Explore the city’s kasbah and film studios.
Ait Ben Haddou - Enjoy lunch at the famous Ait Benhaddou kasbah, the largest in Morocco. Recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, it is renowned as a backdrop for many films, including ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and ‘Gladiator.’
Marrakech - The journey continues through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains, where you can also explore the process of making Argan oil at women’s cooperatives before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech, where the tour concludes.
