Despite the chilly, rainy weather, this tour was engaging and entertaining throughout. Our guide clearly has a wealth of knowledge and passion for history — the salacious aspects or otherwise. I would rate very satisfied were it not for a couple improvements that could be made: first, the tour was billed as a special "vampires, sex and ghosts" tour, yet participants would have the impression that the content was not changed from other Grim Philly tours: the stories were light on ghosts, included only one short mention of a perceived vampire, and were not nearly as "adult" as the description suggested. Aside from the occasional adult language, children would be fine on this tour, which is good unless you signed up for bawdiness. Second, the weather was actually pretty bad, and I feel as thought Grim Philly and our guide could plan alternative places to stand in this case. We were in rain or breezy cold nearly the entire 1.5 hours when within one block from the sites, there would have been awnings or overhangs to have a bit of shelter. By the end, my party was pretty soaked through despite having a raincoat and umbrella. Just a tip for the future when rain and wind strike. Thanks for an awesome evening besides and the history left me feeling like I learned a lot more fascinating facts than what you ever could from reading a few chapters of the typical history book on Philadelphia's past. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Philadelphia.
