Day 1: Ha Giang – Yen Minh – Tham Ma Pass - H’mong King Palace - Dong Van
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - The tour begins at 8:30 am from Ha Giang city at our office or designated meeting point. Our guide will provide a brief overview of the tour itinerary before starting the adventure.
On the first day, the Ha Giang Easy Riders Team driver will guide you through the most impressive scenery, featuring spectacular landscapes and breathtaking views. As the team drives into the mountains and along winding roads, you’ll ascend to Pac Sung Pass, which is over 1000 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll notice a cooler temperature and can enjoy the first panoramic view from Pac Sung Pass. Take pictures and savor some coffee at the top. After enjoying the view, hop back on the motorbike and continue to Heaven Gate. After a 20-minute drive, you’ll arrive at Heaven Gate, where you’ll witness a spectacular landscape, including a vast valley, villages nestled deep within, and a limestone mountain range. It’s truly amazing, and you’ll have the opportunity to stop for photos.
Yen Minh - After enjoying the view from Heaven Gate, hop back on your motorbike to visit Tam Son Town and see the famous Twin Mountains. Then, visit Nam Dam Village, home to 100% Dao minority residents. You’ll have the chance to learn about local cultures and see traditional houses made of clay. After visiting Nam Dam Village, our motorbike team will drive through backroads offering stunning views, then continue to Trang Kim Valley and ascend to Can Ty Pass, the highest point at 1500 meters above sea level. You’ll stop at a viewpoint to enjoy the scenery, including rocky mountains, rivers, and villages. It’s so beautiful you’ll want to stay, but there’s much more to see. Continue to Yen Minh for lunch at a local restaurant with an amazing view of terraced rice paddies and enjoy local cuisine.
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After lunch, continue to the central Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a major geoheritage site in Vietnam. You’ll see terraced rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks, and magnificent views, along with hidden villages in the valley. People will be working on the land, giving you a taste of rural North Vietnamese countryside life. We’ll drive up to the Tham Ma Slope, a famous pass, where you’ll stop to enjoy the view and take pictures for 15 to 20 minutes. Then, continue driving to Pho Cao and Lao Xa, with many beautiful stops along the way to see stunning views and mountains. In the late afternoon, you’ll visit the famous historical site of the Hmong Palace.
Dinh Vua Meo - Our team rider and guide will take you to visit the Hmong King Palace, located in the Sa Phin Valley. This palace belonged to the Hmong kings who ruled large parts of Vietnam’s northern Ha Giang province in the early 20th century. Vuong Chinh Sinh Palace, also known as Vua Meo (King of the Hmong), was built in 1902 and served as the seat of power for two Hmong rulers. The Hmong people have dominated the region since settling there centuries ago after migrating from southern China. You’ll learn a lot about the history and stories of the Hmong people.
Dong Van - After visiting the Hmong King Palace, hop back on the motorbike and drive to Dong Van town for an overnight stay. After a 45-minute drive, you’ll arrive in Dong Van town, check into a room at a typical traditional house for a private room, and relax until dinner. You’ll also have the chance to walk around the ancient town of Dong Van at night.
Day 2: Dong Van Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac Town – Du Gia Village
Ma Pi Leng Pass - After a delicious breakfast, leave Dong Van Town as our motorbike rider takes you to see the most beautiful part of the journey, located on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. Drive through Ma Pi Leng Pass, known for its craggy cliffs and breathtaking views. It is the most rugged pass in the north, often referred to as the “king” of the passes in Vietnam. The road winds through cliffs and overcomes Ma Pi Leng Pass at an altitude of 2,000 meters. To showcase the full beauty of the pass, we’ll ride down the breathtaking Sky Path to admire the scenery of the entire valley and Nho Que River. From the amazing mountain viewpoint, you’ll experience a 360° view, then ride to see the panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass and take unforgettable pictures. Standing on the peak of the pass, you’ll feel overwhelmed by the majestic space of mountains and rivers.
Meo Vac - After visiting and driving past Ma Pi Leng Pass and Nho Que River, we’ll drive through Meo Vac, where you can see the most amazing pass and incredible scenery, stopping at the famous M Road. Then, drive through Duong Thuong Valley, where you’ll see many beautiful sights along the way. At lunchtime, we’ll stop in the little town of Mau Due for lunch at a local restaurant and relax before continuing our trip.
Du Gia - After lunch, we’ll continue our journey to more distant villages. From there, you’ll learn how people live in remote parts of Vietnam. We’ll drive through the villages of Lung Ho, stopping at a viewpoint to see the amazing terraced rice paddies. Drive through the mountainous trail road area of Ha Giang province to Du Gia Village, known for its amazing landscape and the presence of seven ethnic minorities living in the same village. You’ll see a colorful village and a lot of culture, then visit a waterfall for swimming before returning to the homestay. We’ll spend the night at a homestay with a Tay Minority Family in a private room, enjoying dinner and happy water with the family.
Day 3: Du Gia – Duong Thuong Valley - Lung Tam Valley - Ha Giang City
Ha Giang Province - After breakfast and bidding farewell to the host of our homestay, continue the journey. The last day still offers amazing experiences of nature and landscape. Today’s journey takes us back to Ha Giang, but the attractions don’t end there! After two hours of driving, we’ll reach Quan Ba Town and see Nui Do Mountain, which some say resembles fairy’s breasts. After crossing Sky Gate, we’ll return to Bac Sum Pass. After an adventurous ride, we’ll be back in Ha Giang by the afternoon, just in time for you to take a bus or limousine back to Hanoi, or you can opt for a night bus back to Hanoi, depending on your schedule and preferences after the tour.
