This schedule leaves little room for additional activities like trekking and limits the time available to explore the numerous attractions along the loop.

2 night/3 day Ha Giang Buffalo tour - Had an amazing time on our trip. The hostels were above expectations, swimming pools at every one we stayed in. The scenery was phenomenal, a memorable and eye-opening trip for sure! Quang was a great leader of our group, he told us about the area and the people but still had loads of fun. The drivers were all lovely and were good fun in the evenings as well! Would 100% recommend!!

Mostly pros, but also some cons - Joined QT for a 3D2N tour around the Loop, with Vincent as the group leader and also my driver. It’s tough to make comparisons to other companies without personal experience with them, but here are some pros and cons of QT to keep in mind: Pros: - Vincent is a skilled and experienced rider, navigating occasionally rough and slippery roads with confidence. Our group passed virtually every other company we encountered going through same way, and riding pillion sometimes feels dangerous with these speeds and speeds the quality of the road, but Vincent’s skills were reassuring. - Plenty of stops along the way for points of interest, coffee, and snacks. The pace of the three-day tour of course meant that we skipped some nice viewing spots, but that was expected and QT was up front about that. - Food at restaurants along the way was tasty and requests for private rooms were honored. Private accommodations were clean and functional, though spartan. - QT organized a bus back to Hanoi that connected directly with the end of the tour. - Basic rainwear available to those who needed it. Cons: - QT’s tour is actually the same tour as the one organized by Buffalo, with a mixed group of participants, even though the tour is cheaper when booked via Buffalo than via QT — at least according to Buffalo’s website. - QT’s website seems to indicate that coffee and other refreshments are included, but only water and coffee with breakfast wound up being included. - Me and many others struggled to get hot water for showers at one or both of the overnight spots. - The end-of-tour process could be improved, with lots of time at Buffalo Hostel after finishing the loop but then very little time at QT to repack and retrieve bags that were stored at the office. Bag storage was disorganized enough that staff wasn’t sure where what bags were, and the sole staff member had to deal with a chaotic boarding process for the busses back to Hanoi.
