Located in the northernmost part of Vietnam, Ha Giang is a secluded destination that has only recently opened up to tourism. With a population slightly exceeding 700,000, it is one of Vietnam’s less affluent areas. However, this is not due to neglect or decay; rather, the lack of economic dependency has preserved its natural beauty, leaving it largely untouched by the negative impacts of mass tourism and large industries.
The region offers breathtaking natural scenery, featuring towering limestone cliffs, granite formations, suspended valleys, rice terraces reaching the sky, and winding roads etched into the mountainsides.
