Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Begin the Ha Giang Loop tour with a local guide or Easy Rider, starting from Ha Giang City. The adventure kicks off by traversing Bac Sum Pass, where you can enjoy the first breathtaking views on your journey to the Ha Giang rocky plateau.
Next, the local guide will lead you through Quan Ba Heaven Gate Pass. Here, you can savor a beverage of your choice at the café while taking in the stunning mountain scenery. Midway down the pass, there’s an opportunity to pause and climb the stairs to the Twin Mountain viewpoint. The two striking peaks, side by side, resemble the pair of snow pears of a Ha Giang highland ethnic girl.
After lunch in Quan Ba, continue with the local guide through small ethnic villages, including Lung Tam Village, a traditional weaving village that offers insight into the enduring local weaving culture. Brocade products crafted by the skilled hands of elderly H’Mong ethnic artisans are cherished by both domestic and international tourists.
Du Gia - As the journey continues to Du Gia, your local guide will navigate through numerous winding roads and endless valleys such as Duong Thuong and Lung Ho.
Explore the rice fields and villages with many Tay stilt houses in Du Gia, providing a glimpse into the serene rural life.
The final stop of the first day is Du Gia Waterfall. After a day of traversing the passes, you can immerse yourself in the refreshing, clear waters of the waterfall, flowing from the heart of the mountains and forests.
Conclude your first day by staying at a local homestay, enjoying dinner with Tay cuisine, and sipping Ngo wine, affectionately known by locals as the ‘Water of Happiness.’
Du Gia – Meo Vac
Meo Vac - The second day of the Ha Giang Circuit Tour, organized by a local guide, is filled with scenic excursions through breathtaking landscapes. Be captivated by the terraced fields around Mau Due, showcasing the agricultural prowess of this region. This is one of the few areas along the Ha Giang Circuit where you can witness these picturesque terraced fields.
After navigating the M-shaped bend, visit the legendary Happiness Road. Then, enjoy a leisurely cruise on the tranquil Nho Que River to admire the highest Tu San gorge in Southeast Asia, a natural marvel unique to Ha Giang. Return for dinner and an overnight stay at Pa Vi Village, Meo Vac.
Meo Vac - Dong Van
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After breakfast, depart from Pa Vi village to continue the adventure. Marvel at the majestic Ma Pi Leng pass and the beautiful Nho Que river from above. Stop at the Ma Pi Leng monument, known for its perilous road from the mouth of death and the back of the Dinosaur. Walking in the sky, you’ll witness the spectacular panorama around and at the foot of the pass, offering stunning photo opportunities.
Continue the journey after lunch in Ma Le, heading to Lung Cu to visit the village of the Lo Lo ethnic group and the Northernmost point. The final destination of the third day is the Vuong Family Palace (King of the H’Mong), where you can observe the authentic architectural blend of three cultures: H’Mong, French, and Chinese.
End your day in Dong Van, enjoying street food at night in the Old Quarter. Take a stroll and join in dancing, singing, and participating in ethnic highland dances with the locals at Dong Van Old Quarter Square.
Dong Van – Ha Giang
An Home Ha Giang - If visiting Dong Van on a weekend, be sure to explore the local ethnic market in the city center. This vibrant market is where you can observe colorful ethnic groups selling local produce and livestock. Ethnic minorities can be seen walking with their piglets at Dong Van Market.
Next, travel to Sung La Valley, home to some of the oldest Hmong villages on the Ha Giang cycle route. This is a chance to delve into the area’s rich cultural heritage.
Continue to Chin Khoanh Pass, another stunning marvel on the route. Stop at the renowned Tham Ma slope, one of the impressive passes in the UNESCO Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a highlight of any Ha Giang cycle tour.
After pausing for coffee and capturing some check-in photos, proceed through Yen Minh and stop at Can Ty slope to check in at beautiful spots such as Co Don Tree and Van Chai Cliff. Finally, return to the local house in Ha Giang City, concluding the trip with unforgettable memories.
