Quito - The adventure kicks off in Quito at night, where travelers will be picked up at a designated meeting point at the agreed time to embark on their journey to the Amazon. They will board a comfortable overnight tourist bus, a service included in the package for a seamless and stress-free experience. As the city fades away, the landscape gradually changes while traveling through the Andes and descending into the lush Amazon basin. The journey lasts approximately 10 to 12 hours, allowing for rest and waking up surrounded by nature. By early morning, travelers will arrive directly at Cuyabeno Bridge, the main entrance to the reserve, where the lodge staff will be ready to welcome them and guide them into the next stage of their rainforest adventure.

Cuyabeno Amazon Arrival & Initial Jungle Experience

Cuyabeno Reserve - The journey continues at Cuyabeno Bridge at 10:30 am, the gateway to the reserve, where the guide will greet travelers. From here, a motorized canoe ride of about two and a half hours takes them deep into the rainforest. Along the river, travelers should keep an eye out for herons, kingfishers, macaws, and monkeys hidden among the dense vegetation. Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy a welcome cocktail, settle into the room, and relax before lunch. In the afternoon, venture to Laguna Grande by canoe to explore the flooded Igapó forest and learn about this unique ecosystem. As the sun sets, swim in the calm waters while the jungle comes alive with sounds. Continue with a night exploration to spot caimans and nocturnal wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner, followed by a briefing of the adventures ahead.

Deep Jungle Exploration & River Discovery

Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out again to explore deeper into the forest, either by canoe or on foot. Share a traditional lunch with the community before returning to the lodge for a moment of rest. Farewell to the Amazon & Return Journey

Glide along the river in the soft morning light, taking in the sights and sounds that make this ecosystem so unique. Return to the lodge for breakfast before preparing for departure. Take a moment to soak in the surroundings, capturing the last impressions of this unforgettable experience. Check-out is at 8:30 am, followed by a farewell snack for the journey ahead. Travel back by motorized canoe to Cuyabeno Bridge, arriving around 10:30 am. From here, the onward transfer will be ready to take travelers back to Quito.
