Absolutely amazing tour, do it you wont regret it! - This is a great tour, some history and some food, so a perfect mix. I would do it near the beginning of your visit to Quito because you get to see so many places you could revisit . And Fernades - wow what a guy, a fantastic, interesting guide. Can't recommend this tour enough! I had such a good few hours.

Interesting and fun way to sample Ecuadorian cuisine! - It was a great way to spend our first afternoon in Quito. Our guide Steffi was friendly and informative. We got to sample many Ecuadorean snacks and treats that we would never have come across on our own and we learned about the city’s history and fun facts about the cuisine.

Have plans for dinner after the tour - The guide Stephanie “Steph” was very knowledgeable and providing an excellent tour of the sites. The actual food portion of the tour was lacking. I was expecting more food servings. Instead it was 1/2 tbsp fermented drink, 2”x2” sandwich, maybe 10 cocoa chips, another 1/8 cup of warm drink with alcohol, 5 samples of jam on a toothpick, hot tamale type corn and cheese, 1/2 tbsp fig wine, ball of cornmeal with cheese centre, and cornmeal cake. Again our guide was great and did and amazing job explaining everything. The actual tour was more of a city tour. After the tour we ended up at a really nice restaurant Achiote Ecuador that our hotel recommended.
