Quito - 07:00 AM – An accredited tour guide will pick up guests from the hotel. After a one-hour journey, there will be a stop at a restaurant for breakfast. The tour will then proceed to the Middle of the World city, where visitors can admire one of Ecuador’s most iconic monuments while standing on the equator line that divides the planet into the northern and southern hemispheres. Additionally, the ethnographic museum offers insights into Ecuador’s diverse cultures.
Cotopaxi National Park - In the afternoon, the tour continues to Cotopaxi National Park, located in Ecuador’s largest volcanic area. Within the park, visitors will explore the Limpiopungo Lagoon, known for its clear but chilly waters. Here, a variety of birds and other mammals can be observed. The stunning Cotopaxi Volcano, one of the world’s highest active volcanoes, can be admired, weather permitting.

CASCADA EL PAILON - Returning to Baños de Agua Santa, the tour visits the Pailon del Diablo Waterfall, a magnificent 80-meter-high waterfall in the Rio Verde area. It is one of Ecuador’s most spectacular waterfalls, with a small viewing platform at the top offering an extraordinary vantage point to appreciate the falls’ raw power. Baños de Agua Santa - Chimborazo National Park - Alausí
Mount Chimborazo - 08:00 AM - The tour heads to Chimborazo Volcano, the tallest peak in Ecuador and the 17th highest in the world. Interestingly, Chimborazo’s summit is the farthest point on Earth’s surface from its center.
Laguna de Colta - On the way to Alausi, there is a stop at Colta Lagoon, a large, elongated water body surrounded by lush vegetation and native bird species. Nearby is the “Church of Balbanera,” the oldest Catholic church in Ecuador. Legend has it that in the 1530s, Spanish troops, captivated by the lagoon’s beauty, built a church on its banks in honor of their patron, “La Virgen de Balbanera.”
Alausi Village - Ingapirca Ruins - Cuenca
Estacion Ferrocarril - 08:00 AM - After breakfast, the guide will lead a visit to Alausi’s central park, train station, and the “La loma de Llugli” viewpoint. The tour then travels south to reach the Ingapirca parish.
Ingapirca - En route to Cuenca, the tour visits the Ingapirca Ruins, an impressive complex showcasing constructions from both the Cañari and Inca cultures. “Ingapirca” means “Inca’s wall” in Kichwa. It is Ecuador’s most significant archaeological complex, with buildings made of perfectly carved stones joined with natural mortar.
