Nice introduction to Quito! - Nicely paced, great mixture of Ecuadorian food, historical and architectural info. Great overview of Quito! Santiago very personable, answered our many questions, and was eager to be sure we were happy with the tour. We enjoyed our day with him.

Best Food Tour in Quito - Whenever traveling, my fiancée and I always try to book a food tour at the start of a trip to get an idea of the local cuisine, as well as get recommendations for places to try during our stay. This Street Food Tour was far and away the best tour we have done. Our guide Ernesto had an incredible understanding of local cuisine as well as the culture of the city. Each stop was not just a local food stop, but truly told the story of daily life and food in Quito. From the small shop where kids from the local school go for an after school snack, to the local market where workers go to fill up on their lunch break, we tried an abundance of delicious food while learning about the history of the city and its people. We ended the tour enjoying a local beer and handmade cocktail while tasting local chocolate in an amazing art space while discussing the current food scene as well as the direction local cuisine is heading. We also were able to leave with a long list of restaurants and bars to try during our stay, which all helped continue to show the Ecuadorian food landscape in different lights (and were all very delicious). We cannot recommended this tour enough to those looking to truly experience Ecuadorian cuisine as well as learn more about the city and people of Quito.

AMAZING - We did a food tour in Quito with Bondabu and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The tour felt very local and personal, not touristy at all. We explored La Floresta and Centro Histórico, tried traditional street food, local snacks, and visited markets we would never have found on our own. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and explained Ecuadorian ingredients, culture, and daily life in a way that felt natural and engaging. Everything felt well curated and safe, and the group size was perfect. If you’re looking for an authentic street food tour in Quito or a cultural walking tour with real flavor, Bondabu is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

One of the best (if not THE best) Food Tour we've ever been on - My husband and I have been on a LOT of food tours all over the world, and this was easily one of (if not THE) best we've ever been on. Brilliantly paced (we ate loads but never felt too stuffed to try the next thing), entertaining as well as informative, we learnt as much about the history, politics, street art and daily life of Quito as we did about food! And by the very end we felt like we'd spent the day with new friends rather than just a taking a tour. It was the perfect introduction to Quito and Ecuador! 100% recommended :)

Hidden Gems - Awesome awesome tour. Santiago was the best guide ever - it actually ended up JUST being me and him. He gave a great historical background on Ecuador and Quito while bringing me around to local gems, cracking jokes and pointing out local street artists. 10PM to 1PM was perfect timing to cover both breakfast and lunch for the day. THANK YOU SANTIAGO

Best tour experience ever! - Bring a big appetite to this tour because you’ll need it for all the delicious foods Santiago has you experience. We have traveled all over the world and this is one of the best, if not the best, tour we’ve ever taken. Santiago is friendly, easy to communicate with and so knowledgeable about the food and city he loves. Do not hesitate to go on this tour to experience Ecuadorian food only a local would know about! Thank you, Santiago for such a great day!

Quito Food with Santiago - My wife and I walked the streets of Quito for several hours with Santiago, learning about its history and culture, admiring its natural and architectural beauty, and (of course) eating! As we remarked toward the end of the tour, the itinerary was a perfect balance from all perspectives – there was a lot of really interesting information, but with plenty of opportunities for our own questions; we walked a healthy amount, but not so much that we were worn out; and we had the chance to sample many different flavors, but it all blended together flawlessly. All of the stops felt very authentic, and the food was all incredible. Make sure that you arrive hungry for this tour because you’ll want to enjoy every bite. Daniel was a wonderful guide and a fantastic ambassador for his city. We had a phenomenal experience and would highly recommend this tour to everybody!
