• Quito - Mindo – Nambillo is an ecological reserve featuring approximately 22,000 hectares of primary forest. Within this preserved area lies a natural complex of 15 waterfalls, each with its own unique height and beauty! The guide will pick the Operator up from their hotel in Quito at 8:00 a.m. to visit this fascinating place full of wildlife.
• Alambi Reserve - At 1,900 meters above sea level (6,233 ft), hummingbirds, air plants, orchids, and other surprising exotic species will capture full attention! After traveling along the winding road, the tour will stop at a hummingbird farm to enjoy breathtaking experiences with these little creatures and the amazing scenery.
• Mindo Nambillo Cloud Forest Reserve - After taking lots of pictures and slow-motion videos, the Operator will drive down to Mindo village, located at the southern edge of the Choco/Andean hotspots of biodiversity that stretches from southwestern Colombia to northwestern Ecuador. The Mindo area holds international importance for birds, designated as the first area in South America by Birdlife International in 1997. In this enchanting green kingdom, a profusion of life awaits discovery! This is why a cable car ride will be taken along a 530-meter-long cable to enjoy the landscapes on the other side of the mountains!
• Mindo Nambillo Cloud Forest Reserve - After the unforgettable cable car ride, it will be possible to hike for about 1 hour, depending on physical conditions, to visit the most beautiful waterfall known as “Nambillo,” where a refreshing soak can be enjoyed! The private guided tour will acquaint the Operator with the exuberant vegetation of the cloud forest, its birdlife, and the fascinating adaptations to life in this special environment.
• Mindo - Time will be available for lunch, if considered necessary. Then there will be the option to enjoy an unforgettable and educational dessert on a chocolate-tasting tour!
• Quito - If some time remains, it will be possible to visit an orchid and butterfly farm. At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Operator will be back at their hotel in Quito. End of this fantastic experience on a day packed with wonderful discoveries!
