Can't wait to go back. - What a marvelous adventure. We had no idea how much this area had to offer. We could have watched the hummingbirds all day. We also enjoyed the hike to the waterfall and then went to the Butterfly Garden. We had a fabulous guide and driver. The road was not the best but no big deal. We all certainly are anxious to go back and spend more time hiking around the area and enjoying the other activities we didn't schedule this time.

A wonderful visit to Mindo Cloud Forest with Diana - Diana was our guide for the day and she took us on a great trip to the Cloud Forest. She picked us up timely at our hotel and even included a viewpoint stop per our request on the way to Mindo. During our drive and the hike, Diana provided lots of interesting information about the nature, history and culture of Ecuador. The visits to the humming bird farm and Yumbo’s chocolate factory were great! Also, Diana picked a wonderful place for lunch with yummy food and friendly staff. Our day turned out absolutely fantastic! Thank you, Diana!!!

Not what we expected---better! - Our tour guide, Ximena was very knowledgable about the plants and wildlife of Mindo. She happily answered the DOZENS of questions we had about Ecuadorian life, culture, politics, and history during the 12 or so hours we were with her, and this was our favorite part of our entire trip to Ecuador. She was very knowledgable about restaurants that fit specific dietary restrictions (one of us being a vegan) and was flexible making sure all of the activities we did were in alignment with our interests. Before the tour began, we had a bit of an emergency and we were afraid we would need to cancel, however, the folks at Ecuador Best Tour helped us out by pushing back our tour to 2hours past when we were originally supposed to start. To make it clear, you are paying for somebody to take you to all of the sites and act as a personal guide. You should bring cash to get into the sites (these tickets are cheap, however). We thought that all of the activities were pre-planned, but Ximena gave us a huge list of options at the start of the day (butterflies, hike, hummingbirds, tubing, ziplines, etc etc. PICK THE HUMMINGBIRDS) and told us to pick from those. We also did not realize this is a totally private tour. There will be no other tourists with you! If you are visiting Ecuador to really LEARN and not hop from one tourist group to another, this is more than worth the money.

Great day out - Personalized private tour with driver. Lots of fun and interesting things to do. We fed hummingbirds, saw lots of native birds, stopped at equator, chocolate factory and rainforest/waterfall hiking!

Amazing Cloud Forest Tour - Carlos was amazing! He really tailored our tour to what we wanted to do. I came with one of my best friends, and we were able to extend our hike in the cloud forest. We skipped over seeing the butterflies so that we could spend more time in the forest, and Carlos was happy to be flexible with whatever we wanted. Carlos is so knowledgeable about the cloud forest, plants, animals, and Ecuador as a whole. We learned so much from talking to him and it was a true pleasure. We ended our tour by going to see the hummingbirds. We were surprised by how incredible it was! The hummingbirds will land on your hands and it is amazing to see so many up close. I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Ecuador who wants to check out the cloud forest and learn a lot along the way. We had a blast!

We had the best day with... - We had the best day with Ximena, she was so relaxed and knowledgeable. She gave us all the options at the beginning of the day and we chose a short waterfall hike, skybiking, butterflies and the hummingbirds. All were excellent but in particular the hummingbirds. Ximena is an excellent driver too we always felt in very safe hands. Lunch stop was delicious too!

Our Day with Gerald - Our first visit to Quito….. Galapagos Islands is our main reason to visit Ecuador. However this private tour is well worth considering. We learnt so much from our guide Gerald… no question too imposing. Very interesting time in Ecuador with Presidential elections and Holy Week log Easter. No Tuscans unfortunately but many other highlights ending up on the Middle of the World Equator Latitude. A fun day all round with a dinner recommendation in Old Town to finish.

super fun experience from... - super fun experience from quito - we did zip lining, hiking to waterfalls, chocolate tasting, and a visit to a hummingbird farm. definitely worth the private tour as we were able to do everything at our own pace and completely personalized. ximena was a great guide and super knowledgeable about everything ecuador. would highly recommend

Great day trip! - Super fun day trip! Our guide was very knowledgeable and considerate. She kept an eye out for toucans and had the driver stop so we could take pictures when she spotted one.

Don’t go unless you really have to - While what we did at the venue was fun, it us over two hours each way from Quito mainly on winding mountain roads and in one case an unlaced road for three miles, to make the day enjoyable . Even venues during the trip were far from one another making the day very long and tiring. Only go if you can stay over one night in the area otherwise you will be doing very little sightseeing and a lot of driving.
