- Pululahua Volcano & Geobotanical Reserve - The Mindo Cloud Forest Day Tour kicks off at 8:00 AM in Quito, heading northwest through Pichincha Province, showcasing a variety of climatic zones. The first stop is at Pululahua Volcano, offering a breathtaking view of the impressive crater. Visitors can admire a wide array of native plants, including bromeliads, orchids, and several medicinal species.
- San Tadeo Birding - Ever wanted to feed hummingbirds by hand? This is the ideal spot! Toucans and tanagers can also be seen at the feeders. Agoutis, squirrels, orchids, and bromeliads enhance this incredible experience. Don’t forget to bring binoculars and a camera with a good zoom.
- Mariposas de Mindo - After birdwatching in San Tadeo, the tour arrives in Mindo town, heading straight to the butterfly farm to learn about butterfly anatomy and reproduction in their natural habitat. Hummingbird feeders along a small trail are perfect for photography enthusiasts.
- Nambilla Cascadas - The journey continues to the cloud forest, exploring trails along the waterfalls route. A short drive from Mariposas de Mindo leads to Cascadas Nambillo. There, a cable car ride takes visitors to another section of the Cloud Forest, followed by a hike to the Nambillo waterfall or the Waterfall Route, lasting about 1.5 hours. Lunch is enjoyed in a serene and beautiful setting.
- Mindo - After lunch, a relaxing activity awaits: learning about and tasting the finest artisanal chocolate. Yumbos is the top spot in Mindo for this delightful experience. The tour then returns to Quito.

100% recommend this tour - 100% recommend. Excellent trip and excellent guide Pat. On the drive he found out what i liked and tailored the trip to suit me. Very knowledgable amd passionate ate nature and the birdlife. Went to hummingbirds- waterfall and hike- beautiful orchid house and chocolate production tour. A must do tour with Pat

Feeding hummingbirds from your hand is too cool!! - Wasn't sure what to expect on this tour that included feeding hummingbirds. Expectations exceeded by a big margin! We were able to identify over 25 different species of hummingbird and feeding them from my hand was awesome! My guide, Pame, and driver, Eduardo, were fantastic and I'd travel with them again any day. Highly recommend!

Was amazing - I had a great time a in the Mindo cloud forest. I was able to feed hummingbirds by hand and I even saw a toucan. I then went chocolate tasting and got a lunch in Mindo that was amazing

Must so Mindo - A wonderful private tour with Pato who spent a whole day ahowibg us beautiful birds, butterflies and rainforest as well as rainforest walk and funride in open cable car and amazjbg chocolate tour and more! A great experience all round.

Liked all the parts of... - Liked all the parts of the tour. We added chocolate which was also very good. Hummingbirds was the highlight.

Put this at the top of your list! - This experience was marvelous from beginning to end! Pato was born and raised in Quito and is a wealth of knowledge. He was also SUPER accommodating to our group. We had a group member who was really interested in fungus, one who was not fond of cable cars, another who broke their ankle early this year, and some and some members who were really interested in birding. Pato worked our day around these things. Makes sure to let him know what you’re interested in!
We stopped at a mushroom museum, butterfly experience, two spots for birding, a lovely lunch spot that was great for birding, and did a chocolate tasting! He answered all our questions about the region and more! One of our group members really wanted to see a tucán and he di everything in his power to try to make it happen.
There is no doubt you’ll have a great time in this trip!

Una día perfecto con mi nuevo amigo Pato! - What a phenomenal day we had in Mindo Cloud Forest with Ecuador a Color. Our tour guide Patricio (Pato) was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. He truly made our experience unforgettable. We had a friend who is recovering from an injury and Pato adjusted the tour to accommodate all of us and ensure we had a great experience. Every stop he took us too was phenomenal and he even went out of his way to let us visit a Fungi museum. This was an experience I will never forget. I highly recommend booking any tour with Ecuador a Color and if you are fortunate enough to have Pato as your guide, you will come away from the experience feeling like you have made a lifelong friend.

Had a great with Galindo! - Galindo was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable about the ecosystem of Cloud Forest and Ecuador in general. He was very personable and kept us entertained for the longer drives. He also took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch.
