In this ko’ox ximbal adventure, participants will embark on a walk. Guests will venture into the jungle to observe spider monkeys, guided by a local expert who will share insights about these creatures in their natural environment. Prior to entering the jungle, a Mayan purification ritual is conducted in the Mayan language by a shaman, the community leader, to seek the yu’um balam’s blessing for jungle entry. -

During this experience, guests will undergo a purification ritual led by a shaman to request permission before venturing into the jungle to find spider monkeys. Before the ceremony begins, the local guide will provide a brief overview of its significance in Mayan culture. -

The spider monkey reserve features a 3 km lagoon. After the spider monkey exploration, guests have the opportunity to canoe on the lagoon and enjoy a swim if they choose.
