Akumal/Tulum/Coba - We had the most amazing day on this excursion! Our guide, Antonio, was kind, funny, inclusive and engaging. He shared his knowledge and passion of his culture all throughout the day.
We got super lucky and it was only myself/husband and one other couple who had booked for the day (who were fantastic!). We felt we had the ultimate private excursion.
We snorkeled at Akumal first (saw some of the beautiful turtles), then went to Tulum. Antonio stopped often to share bits of history and information with us and stopped us at all the best photo op places.
Tulum is one of those places you can feel in your heart and soul. Lots of people? Yes...but don't let that stop you from experiencing this beautiful and historic place. If you can, do a little historical research of your own on Tulum and Coba before you go. It will definitely help you appreciate your surroundings even more.
Antonio then let us decide on eating lunch first or going directly to Coba. We chose lunch. Wonderful little local place with delicious authentic Mexican food. The sopa de lima (lime soup) was incredible. We also had a bit of time to shop at the local place attached next door. We found a few things to buy and love that the proceeds go directly to the local people.
Coba was awe inspiring and the tricycle 'taxi' ride they thru the jungle to the ruins was the highlight of my day ~ it felt spiritual and so peaceful. It's amazing that so much of this site is still buried deep beneath the jungle ~ so little has been excavated.
I would definitely recommend this particular tour for anyone heading down to the area. If not these particular places, book this tour group for one of their other excursions. Exceptional service.

Super organized excursion with good professionals - Hire the Tulum-Coba-Snorkel Turtles-Akumalpara excursion me, my husband and two children from Spain, (small group of 13 people) all perfect without any problem. The tour super organized, our guide Edmundo great as well as the driver Gilberto. They keep an eye on everything: they provide you with fresh water during the tour, a refrigerated wipe to cool you down when you arrive from the tour walk, cookies, are many details that are appreciated. Everything explained by Edmundo great, rating that he loves his work. The food in the restaurant is very good. I highly recommend the Enterprise and the excursion.

Antonio is a star! ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - What a day! So glad I did this tour - our guide Antonio was so caring and considerate, as well as super knowledgeable. It was very hot whilst walking around Tulum and Coba - Antonio ensured we were in the shade as much as possible and kept us hydrated throughout.
The day flew by! We started off at Akumal to see the turtles 🤩 - with it being early, there wasn't too many tour parties in the water and we were able to enjoy our snorkel experience.
Tulum was our next visit. Antonio is a fountain of knowledge and makes every stop on the tour full of interest and wonder. We then had a choice whether to continue to Coba or stop for lunch - we decided as a party to continue. Coba was just as wonderous, again due to Antonio's explanation at each stopping point on the tour. It was very hot and a bit of a trek to the pyramid so we decided to take the bicycle taxi - such a good idea and reasonable at 180 pesos 😊. We finished with a delicious buffet lunch and Antonio recommended a few places to visit during my remaining time in Mexico.

Turtles Tulum and Coba for a great price - An amazing tour. We managed to book this tour and were completely alone the entire time. No other people had booked so we had a private guided tour the entire time. Our guide allowed us to customize our tour by giving us the choice to do lunch after the snorkel and then Coba or Coba first. We choose lunch first so we did Tulum snorkel lunch and Coba. We took a boat out to snorkel and they allowed us a stop in front of Tulum to get wonderful pictures. Snorkeling we saw a variety of fish sea urchins, a sting ray, and two turtles! The snorkel guides brought fish to feed the turtle so it swam with us for a while. A total highlight of our trip. Coba we opted for a guide for the first half and the second we completed on our own although he did give us the option of a full tour through all of Coba. We opted just for the basics then wanted to explore a little alone. The driver was wonderful as well making sure we had every convenience such as cold water after the long Coba hike. I highly recommend this tour and company.

Everything in a day and excellent value! - If you want to see it all, this is the trip to take! Our hotel told us it was impossible to do tulum, turtles and Coba in a day and tried to charge us $2200 for a private excursion of just Coba and turtles so we were excited when we found this excursion on Viator for A fraction of the cost for a family of 6 with everything we wanted! Tulum, snorkeling with turtles, jungle hike, climb ruins, Mayan village lunch and more! We lucked out and had half the day as a private trip after snorkeling which was perfect to spread out and relax in between excursions. We like faster pace and I already have an extensive knowledge of Mayan history (college degree in Latin American Studies), so it was nice to have both the broad strokes information for the kids and yet get more in depth discussions with Mario as we discovered carvings, flora and fauna, ball courts and other Mayan jungle treasures. Would recommend to walk the trek to Coba so you can enjoy the treasures of the jungle and history. Coba is a bit of a climb at end of day and requires some athletic shape, but even our 8 year old with a sprained ankle made the climb. Best shopping is the markets opposite the entrance to Coba. Our son got a wooden toy for $5 from a great shop owner at the very end of the stores in Coba where as the restaurant wanted $27 for a broken version of the same toy. The snorkeling was excellent. Great variety of exotic fish, two turtles and even a huge school of fish to swim with. One of the best spots we have snorkeled. We travel the world and always use Viator. We have found them to be much better in value, experience and personal attention then any tour company especially when compared to tours offered at hotels and cruise lines.
