Good times - Had a great time fishing with Diego, he was very informative and easy going. Cabo Catoche was really cool, dolphins all over and even saw a manta ray.

This fishing trip is... - This fishing trip is super fun! The boat trip to the fishing spot took about 1 hour, and we caught a lot of fish. Water was not toongood for snorkeling so we skipped that part and went streight to the Cabo Catoche beach to make the Ceviche for lunch. The team was very nice and helpful. I took my 10 year old son with me and he had a lot of fun catching the fish.

Best tour and tour guide! - This was an amazing tour! I went on my own with my two boys (7 and 10). We each caught 3 or 4 fish from yellowtail, multiple types of snapper, grouper, etc. and I think everyone on the boat caught something. The fresh ceviche (from what we caught) on the island was also amazing! My boys also snorkeled with nurse shark which was an added bonus. Visibilty was cloudy but we still had an amazing time! I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Fish for your ceviche! Fun - This is an incredible little adventure. Here are the bullet points: boat out toward the northern eastern part of the island and you get to fish by hand! Our group had a great time!(be cautious if you get motion sickness). We then went to the point where they prepared the fish we had caught into the FRESHEST ceviche. We enjoyed a cold beer and a nice hammock siesta. We would Def do this again!

Nice Trip - I was traveling alone and was picked up from my hotel at the agreed time and taken to the pier in Holbox. After all the passengers had arrived, we set off by boat. Unfortunately, we didn't see anything spectacular along the way, but when we arrived at our fishing spot, we were able to observe dolphins curiously approaching our boat. Our guide gave us an introduction to fishing with just a line. We caught a few fish, but only those suitable for ceviche were kept. As the number of fish dwindled, we moved to another spot where we continued fishing. When we ran out of bait, we went to the snorkeling spot. Unfortunately, the water was so murky that we couldn't snorkel (hence only four stars). Afterward, we went to Cabo Catoche Island where the ceviche was prepared while we enjoyed the beach. After a meal together, we went into the mangroves to learn more about the flora and fauna. We saw a few flamingos there, but no crocodiles. Afterwards, we went back to the pier. All in all, the guides took good care of us, and drinks were constantly available. The Rour is not for people who get seasick or don't like fast boat trips with choppy water.

No thanks. - I think it’s important for people to know upfront that this tour takes place in very rough sea conditions. The ride is extremely bumpy and can feel quite jarring. The boats are small, flat-bottomed fiberglass skiffs with outboard motors, which don’t handle large swells particularly well. A significant portion of the day—about 4.5 hours—is spent at sea, with only around 1 hour actually at Cabo Catoche for snorkeling. Was it worth the money? maybe, though it makes for a very long and physically demanding day on the water. Would I do it again? Definitely not. I found the guides adequate but not terribly compassionate to people’s indication that the rough seas were an issue. I need to mention as well that while it was not our group, there was a boat that hooked a small baby shark while fishing and kept it. Specifically the captain made the decision to keep it. The group had a video of the mother shark swimming frantically around afterwards and were boasting about this. Apparently baby shark is used in some common Mexican dishes. This was a grave display of cruelty. All groups present on Cabo Catoche that day were from Extreme Holbox tours. Very disappointed to see this behavior.

Mostly only a boat ride - If you want to fish, this is not the tour for you. 4 hours of this 6 hour tour is just a boat ride. You get 45 mins to 1 hour of fishing, 10 to 20 mins of snorkeling maybe, and 45 mins at a beach.

Not for everyone - Great guide and boat Captian, they were very kind and knowledgeable people. That being said it is a very long day (mechanical issues made ours 8.5 hours) on a small boat in rough seas with no bathroom. You must be prepared for that.

Do not recommend - Fishing and having fresh made ceviche was great. But overall, the experience left a lot to desire. The island we visited was nothing special and certainly not better than holbox, the fishing spot took like 1.5 hours to get to and there was no music or anything to make it fun, the guides did the bare minimum (im dont recall them telling us their names). I do not recommend this trip.
