The name “Dos Ojos” means “two eyes”. It originated from the two circular-shaped cenotes located very close to each other.
Dos Ojos Cenote is part of the Dos Ojos cave system of the same name. Connected system Sistema Sac Actun-Nohoch-Dos Ojos today is the world’s second-largest underwater cave system, 376,7 km (234 miles) of underwater lines, with a maximum depth of 119.18 mts (391 ft). Dos Ojos section is an anchialine cave system connecting to naturally intruding marine water and tidal influence in the cenotes.
You will do 2 dives in Dos Ojos cenote - one dive on the Bat cave line and another on the Barbie line. Both dives are 40-45 minutes long. Surface interval between dives 30 minutes. 30 minutes before the first dive for gear assembly and wearing.

Dos Ojos Cenote and Park is a renowned and frequently visited cenote in Quintana Roo. Famous for its numerous shallow dives, it provides divers with ample opportunity to appreciate the beautifully adorned system.
Two Dive Paths in One Day:
The first path, the Bat Cave line, guides divers primarily along the walls of the “bat cave.” It also offers plenty of space to swim around the massive columns and stalactites. Expect thrilling surprises during this dive. Midway through, the guide will invite divers to surface in the cave to observe the thousands of bats roosting on the ceiling.
The second path in Dos Ojos Cenote is the Barbie Line – a golden line stretching 415 meters with spacious areas and expansive bright galleries. This dive is an excellent way to get accustomed to the sensation of water, where buoyancy shifts quickly. In the final quarter, divers will enter a nearly enclosed area. Although it feels distant from the entrance, it is actually close to the nearest exit point.
