The meeting point will be right outside of the entrance of the Chedraui supermarket. This Chedraui has two entrances. The correct entrance for our meeting point is the side where the undercover parking is. Your host will meet you on foot right outside of the doors by the stairs.

Respite from the storm - After our plans for the day were ruined by rough seas, we were thankfully able to nail down a cooking class with Tania and her daughter to keep us entertained for the day! Due to timing we weren't able to visit the market like most of their guests but they were still able to make due with the grocery store which was an adventure in itself. Tania was great and explaining what we were looking for or doing and why, explained the difference in peppers and more. We've also done cooking classes in Italy and Costa Rica. I would say this one was a little less hands on but we were still able to participate in the preparation and cooking and also spend some time just relaxing with the amazing food. It was a good mix of work and play. And the food was amazing! So much delicious food! And she was even able to work with multiple food allergies. You will not be disappointed

Making Trompitos - Tanya met us at the Super Aki so we could buy all the ingredients for what we needed. Then we went back and cooked, and talked and had a deliciously great time. It was like Tanya and I had known each other for years and were old friends. It's a fun experience the whole family can enjoy. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Definitely a worthwhile experience - Tania and Sergio were great hosts. We enjoyed the trip to the market (including comparing products and prices with home, and buying some culinary souvenirs), We got to see and assist with dinner preparations, and ate and drank more than our fill. Conversation was lively, and we were able to learn way more about life on the island than we would have otherwise.

Making tacos al pastor (trompitos) fornthe first time - We loved the experience, Tania took us to the market to buy all the ingredients and involved us in the process of making the drinks, salsas, guacamole , and trompitos. Everything was delicious, she was really nice and the food was more than enough, we ate a lot and we had a great time !

Great cooking experience! - We enjoyed grocery shopping with Tania and then helping with the food prep. She answered all of our questions and the multicourse meal was delicious. She also gave us recipes so we can try the dishes at home. Highly recommend this wonderful cooking experience!

Make time for this - Awesome. Simply terrific. It may be unsettling for some Americans, as Tania picks you up and drives you to her place for the meal- so you’re with a person you never met in an unknown location. Don’t fret! Tania is friendly, kind and a terrific cook. She makes the whole experience a pleasure. And the food! Out of this world.
