Arrival and First Impressions

As a former professional surfer, I’ve spent countless days basking in the sun and riding the waves, but my recent visit to Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel was a different kind of beach adventure. My partner and I decided to take a break from our usual surf-centric escapades and indulge in a day of relaxation at this all-inclusive beach club. We arrived early, around 8:00 AM, and the process of getting our wristbands and settling in was seamless. The early arrival meant we had our pick of tables, and we quickly found a spot that would be our base for the day.

The morning air was crisp, and the sun was just beginning to warm the white sands. We were greeted by Jesus, our server for the day, who ensured we were well taken care of from the get-go. While the buffet wouldn’t open until 9:30, we didn’t have to wait to start our culinary journey. We ordered breakfast from the menu, and the quesadillas and guacamole were a delightful way to kick off our day.

A Day of Indulgence

As the day unfolded, the buffet opened, and we found ourselves sampling a variety of dishes. The Fish of the Day, grouper, was a standout, and we couldn’t resist ordering it more than once. The food was plentiful, and the drinks flowed freely, thanks to Jersey, the bartender, who kept our glasses full and spirits high. The service was impeccable, and it was clear that the staff at Mr. Sanchos took pride in ensuring their guests had a memorable experience.

Despite the all-you-can-drink nature of the resort, the atmosphere remained calm and respectful. It was refreshing to see everyone enjoying themselves without any rowdiness. The camaraderie among guests and staff added to the laid-back vibe, making it easy to unwind and soak in the beauty of Cozumel.

Snorkeling and Sunbathing

While Mr. Sanchos isn’t known for its snorkeling spots, we couldn’t resist the call of the ocean. We ventured into the water, not expecting to see much in terms of fish or coral, but simply for the joy of being in the sea. The water was inviting, and the gentle waves provided a soothing backdrop to our leisurely swim.

Back on the beach, the only minor drawback was the proximity of the tables and loungers. They were a bit closer together than I would have liked, but it was a small price to pay for the overall experience. As the day came to a close, we found ourselves contemplating a return visit, if only to see our new friends, Jesus and Jersey, again.

In the end, Mr. Sanchos offered a perfect blend of relaxation and indulgence, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind in Cozumel. Whether you’re a seasoned beachgoer or a first-time visitor, this beach club promises a day of sun, sand, and unforgettable memories.
