Pro dive living up to their name - I had an amazing experience with Luisa and pro dive team can’t recommend her enough. From the moment I knew she would be our dive master for the day I was excited , she was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. Her understanding of diving procedures, safety, and equipment immediately put me at ease, and she has a natural way of explaining things clearly and calmly with a smile. Making sure every person not only in our group but those on board were all prepared and ready to go! What really stood out was how present and supportive she was throughout the entire dive experience. She checks in, anticipates needs, and genuinely cares about making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident in the water. Her passion for diving and the ocean is obvious, and it absolutely elevates the experience.
Luisa brings a rare combination of technical skill, patience, and positive energy with every dive group. She’s the kind of dive professional you trust completely underwater and enjoy being around on the surface too. An absolute asset to any dive operation. And even better dive buddy too!

It's not where you dive, it's who you dive with!!!! - My wife and I went down for our honeymoon to do some incredible diving, not really knowing the operation we were getting involved in but also had high hopes as they are rated as a 5-star PADI center. The team was fantastic all around and we would highly recommend them as your diving professionals. That being said, we wanted to explicitly take the time to highlight their instructor Luisa Pita as their most unique and influential scuba diving professional. In our first encounter, Luisa showed up in the most excentric and colorful wetsuits and fins, which if you're a diver you understand immediately how much fun this person is going to be, and you can see them from a mile away!! Her personality and charm matched the color of her gear to perfection, making every single day/dive we experienced with her better than the last one. Luisa was on several 2-tank day dives with us and also a night dive; she dove so much that she required nitrox!! Someone who works that hard and can maintain that level of perky personality is an agency treasure because the clients/guests will always have the best time and want to come back. Luisa is super smart, attentive, and cares about the entire team she dives with. With Cozumel being known for its diving culture, and with as many operations that are already down there, we can confidently say that Luisa will be the PRIMARY factor in who we decide to dive with in the future. Where we sleep is slightly important, but who we dive with makes the memories last forever!!!

Always amazing, it’s Cozumel how could it not be? - A few years ago, my regular dive center closed down, and I had to find other accommodations. The Allegro Cozumel has been my go to place now for multiple vacations and the pro dive shop on center has been a great. All of the dive guides are super friendly personable have come from all parts of the world and speak multiple languages. The best part was I recognize employees that now work on the dive boats as captains and deck that used to be at my former place that I thought was the best. It goes to show that this is obviously the next best one now. Always very happy with their service and they do everything they can to make it work out. Sometimes a little patience can go a long way, but the diving is always outstanding. Looking forward to my next return trip soon.

Amazing diving. Great equipment , everyone from booking , transfers , hotel and diving were fabulous. - My daughter and I have had the best time on the 7 dives we did . We booked everything through pro dive . The transfer to the hotel was really easy . The Westin was a beautiful hotel . We hired a car to get to the dive sites in the south . The whole dive team were amazing . We especially loved diving with Cami who found us some fab fish / turtles / sharks , seahorse, swim through etc . The boat crew were fab at helping as well .
We did a wonderful night dive as well .
Thank you Pro dive for making it so special .

Professional and fun! - It was a blast! Highly recommend this dive shop and highly recommend Javi as your dive master! They were fantastic! And just a quick taxi away from the cruise port.

Very Good - Very professional in the diving experience. Very gracious in flexibility on dive dates. Also tailored the dive groups so the experienced divers stayed together so not hampered by less experienced divers. Dive masters very professional and thorough in briefings and helping individuals with fine tuning weights. One trip the current was very strong and could not stop and explore the reef, using more than usual air fighting the current, I would suggest avoiding those days.
Not a very good experience in the online booking, wanting repeat information from previous booking. Also the online payment system was confusing as it seems more tailored to international students. The banking payment info did not work at first, I had to request the company to reset their online bank account number. Also could not use a previous bank information from last payments. Eventually worked out but took extra time.

Actual start time is 1 PM- cruisers beware - The Viator description is wrong. This dive experience actually starts at 1:00 PM. Consequently we were not able to complete both dives before our cruise ship all aboard time of 5 PM. The dive shop tried to accommodate us and were fantastic to work with. I have no complaints against them. However they have also said they tried to fix the start time with Viator and have been unable to do so.
Again the people at the shop were great and the one dive we were able to go on was great. VIATOR please fix the listing!!

Excellent instructor Camille; central reservation could have done better - We stayed at a hotel next to the The Pro Dive shop at the Westin which is more on the north end of the island. We prebooked our kids' beginner dive lessons, but when we got there, they recommended the dives be done from their other shop on the south side at the Occidental Hotel, as it seems more of the better dives for beginners are down there. That location is a 30 minute drive south from where we were staying. Had I been informed of that detail by the Pro Dive central booking, I would have booked to stay closer to that end, especially since morning dive boats leave at 8 a.m. Breakfast at our hotel didn't even open till 7 a.m. but were required to leave from our hotel at 7 a.m. for the taxi ride down. That made for a bit of stress and grumpy tired kids. So I recommend making sure where's the best place to stay based on where you really want to dive, your expertise, and weather which can affect the location of the dives. Our children learned to dive from Camille, who was a very kind and excellent teacher. She explained things very thoroughly. She was very attentive underwater and after the dives, took the time to show the kids, some of what they saw, from a little booklet of marine life. I've never had a dive master ever do that, so that was very nice. She put them at ease and made the whole experience enjoyable. They passed their certification! I highly recommend her. The rest of the staff of divers to helpers on the boat were also extremely nice, helpful, and efficient. Just to let you know, this dive shop has you assemble your own gear together on the boat. However, if you need help, ask, and they will help you. 5 stars for this shop staff. 3 stars is for central reservation which could have better informed me of the actual dive location for beginners.

Great Dives Not so Great Check in Experience - The dives themselves were spectacular. The check in and timeliness of going on the dives were disjointed and not very professional. I had to get how things were scheduled from another diver who was staying at the resort. I arrived on a cruise ship and booked based on reviews. I would not book again with them based on the surface experience. Bust as noted, what I saw was awesome.

Just say no - This was a horrible excursion. First off, the directions were horrible. Nowhere did it mention that this was a resort hotel dive shop. The taxi driver didn't know where to take me and once I arrived at the hotel, no one knew where the dive shop was.
Upon arrival, I did the paperwork and then started to get my gear. First they tried to tell me to wear an XL BC because they didn't have any large ones available. Then they tried to "fix" one that had hose that had come disconnected. The BC I ended up with on the boat had a leak. The dive guides were really nice guys but I question their experience. There were six divers in our group and we immediately hit extremely strong currents when we went down. I understand the guides can't control the dive conditions but the subsequent dives were not handled well. At one point the guide was encouraging people to go back in with their partially used tanks. I didn't do it and when the boat when back to the dock for more gas, I got off and returned to my ship.
Lesson learned. I will do much more research than I did for future dives. There are lots of independent dive shops closer to the cruise port. Find those or check with your local dive shops for better options in Couzemel. Dive at your own risk with this company.
