Don't read this review...Just book a Curiel hike...it will be the best thing you do in PV. - Curiel is the absolute best guide to the nature of PV. He is knowledgable, fun and funny. I signed up for one hike and had such a good time, I went on two more during my visit. I can't wait to do more hikes with Curiel on my next visit.

Experience the beauty of the outdoors - This is the second experience I have had with Curiel. I really enjoyed the added part of traveling by boat it made it so much fun. Curiel pointed out all the sights and sounds of the jungle as we hiked, things I hadn't caught a glimpse of. The experience at the waterfall was a lot of fun, as were the swinging bridges. I felt very comfortable and safe with his guiding the hike and seeing his passion for people to get outside of towns and experience the real part of Puerto Vallarta. This is not a "tourist" attraction but a caring friend leading you on an adventure.

Exhilarating PV excursion! - On the personal recommendation from friends, we booked a day trip with Curiel, and so glad we did! The entire trip was well curated, full of interesting facts, and most of all a ton of fun. This is the way to explore the area surrounding PV. The waterfall plunge was exhilarating, the boat ride (with whale sightings) was beautiful, and the lunch we shared was delicious. He made us all feel like close friends, and was a definite highlight of our weeklong trip!

An Beautiful Escape From The Usual PV Routine - Highly recommend!! What a wonderful way to spend a day when visiting Puerto Vallarta. Departing from the usual PV experience and diving into nature really was a great way to break up our trip. I came back from this feeling relaxed and peaceful. The hike we did was moderate in terms of challenge, but our guide Curiel was more than ready to help us along. Additionally, Curiel was very informative of the surrounding fauna and flora, on top of just being a genuinely lovely human. My partner and I were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour that day, which made it feel quite intimate. It is well worth the cost. I felt our money was well spent, as it supported local businesses (boat, restaurants, etc) on top of Curiel Xperience. Highlights: - Our guide Curiel (what a sweetheart) - The waterfall swim - Kanella and Chico (our hiking dog buddies) - The whole fish we ate at the end... delicious! (not that you have to, there's other options, but reccomended!) Helpful tips if your planning on going: - bring sunscreen and bug repellant - crossing rivers, take shoes off (bring a towel to dry your feet - wet socks are never fun) - definetly bring a bathing suit to swim at the waterfall/beach! Thanks again Curiel, we'll be back next time for sure!

Explore the Hidden Beauty of Puerto Vallarta’s South Beaches - This was my second hiking tour with Curiel and highly recommend all his tours for anyone visiting Vallarta. The Puerto Vallarta area is rich with biodiversity. Tons to do, see, and experience with nature beyond the city center/zona romantica. The Las Animas to Quimixto tour was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation! After a quick drive to Boca Tomatlán, we took a beautiful boat ride along the south beaches to Las Ánimas. From there, the hike to Quimixto was stunning — ocean views, lush jungle trails, and plenty of photo stops along the way. What makes these tours truly unique is the wealth of knowledge that Curiel has of the fauna and bird species. He is a walking encyclopedia of plant life with several stops along the way to try some of the fruits that have fallen on the trails. The highlight was definitely swimming at the Quimixto waterfall and cooling off in the natural pools. Curiel always does a great job explaining the trail and local plants, and the refreshment breaks were a nice touch. We wrapped up with a delicious lunch before heading back to Boca Tomatlán. If you want a unique memorable experience surrounded by one of the best biodiverse regions in Mexico - definitely consider booking a hike with Curiel Xperience.

Hiking to Quimixto - I’ve done a couple of hikes with Curiel Xperience in the past, and like those trips, my hike in January to the Quimixto water falls was fantastic! Julian is an awesome tour guide-so knowledgeable about the local vegetation and animals that hikers will see along the way. If you want to see what else is offered around the Bay of Banderas beyond the PV tourist scene, I highly recommend Curiel Xperience hiking to see the natural beauty of the area…

beaches, sea, hike, waterfall pool in glorious weather: what more could you wish for? - Best excursion that we did during our trip. Curiel is both an excellent guide but an entertaining raconteur..made for a great day. Curiel is also extremely well organized from organizing the water taxis to the refreshments at the waterfall near Quimixto to the lunch at the end of the trip in Boca and all the pictures he took. HIke was about the right length though I was hampered by an injured ankle. If Id been at normal level of fitness Id have liked it a little longer but really have no complaints or criticisms. Would happily do it again next time we are in PV and enthusiastically recommend to others wanting an active day in gorgeous surroundings.

A must do for those who love nature with the friendliest guide! - On our recent trip to PV my friends and I were looking for something different and adventurous. We found CurielXperience through an extensive search for LGBTQ+ friendly activities. This is a 100% must book adventure. Not only did Curiel take us to places we hadn’t seen before, be he was so friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell he loves what he does. Jen builds relationships with everyone we met along the way. The quiet beach was an awesome stop where we enjoyed the sun and ocean on a break for the informative and gorgeous hike. The hike was easy to tackle and the waterfall was breathtaking both in beauty and the chilly water. Ending the adventure with an amazing lunch on the water was a perfect way to wrap up the day. We already can’t wait to book another one of his hikes on our next visit.

Wonderful hike with an amazing guide - My husband and I spent a truly wonderful day with our guide Curiel, who was extremely knowledgeable about the plants and animals on the trail from Las Animas to Quimixto. More than that however, he’s one of the friendliest tour guides you could meet. If you are on the fence about whether you should book with CurielXperiences, don’t hesitate to do so!

Amazing hiking, beauty, swimming, food and fun! - The CurielXperience is one you do not want to miss when you are in Puerto Vallarta. As a local, his knowledge of the history and environment opened our eyes to the beauty that surrounded us - Curiel spotted whales, birds, butterflies, fruit and many other flora and fauna. His tour is unique, he is adaptive to your needs and his guiding is lively and fun. Plus it ended with the most delicious meal in a very beautiful spot. We are so glad we found this trip and loved every moment of it - it will be a highlight of our visit to this area for sure. Thanks for the adventure Curiel!
