Great Fun and amazing sunset - Although this was a big catamaran, once under way it was fine and we had a great time. People were able to move around and go to the top deck We saw lovely dolphins, food was good and drinks were strong and plentiful

Fun! - My husband, friend and I had a fantastic experience on the Ocean King. We got to see whales and dolphins and a gorgeous sunset. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat and the staff really made the experience. They were friendly and very helpful. I would book this again and I highly recommend this experience.

Fabulous - This was a great tour and very good value with drinks, fruit and hot meal included. The staff were professional and friendly. The catamaran is really well set up. Being nearly 70, we were a little worried about the loud party music to start, but it quiets down for the swim and meal and more easy listening for the cruise back to the harbour where we were treated to an absolutely gorgeous sunset. All in all, a fabulous day out!

Fun in the Sun - This is a fairly large but not too large party boat. I would say about 120 passengers. The crew was friendly and it was a party atmosphere with music. You received a wrist band for drinks and they were good. They served snacks and dinner. We were lucky to have seen whales and dolphins. We dropped anchor by Manuel Antonio State Park so people could swim and snorkel. We ended the trip viewing the most amazing sunset. I would recommend it, especially for the money.

Great atmosphere and very nice boat - This tour was a blast! The snorkeling was not great, but the staff on board was the best I have ever had! Gill took great care of us the entire tour, and I cannot recommend him enough. Great drinks, good food, and a great time was had by our whole group. Highly recommend this tour and Gill!!!

All fun! - Great fun ride in a catamaran. We even saw whales during the trip! Food was nice with unlimited drinks. Pick up from our hotel and back was smooth.

Overall a good... - Overall a good experience. The only hiccup was the beginning of the tour. I traveled with a friend but last minute I had to meet the group at the Marina instead of getting picked up from the hotel. My friend explained the situation to the staff and was told to direct me to their office to get a wristband once I arrived to the marina. Once I arrived, the staff told us that two wristbands were given to my friend at the hotel pick up, which was not the case. They asked us to wait until everyone got on the boat to see if I was “allowed” to get on too. I even suggested to show my reservation confirmation but the lady declined to see it. Again, overall it was a good experience.. drinks were good, plenty of space to wander around, met awesome people, but the very start was a little unpleasant.

It's a party boat, be prepared for constant loud music. - The brochure that was at the reception of my hotel gave the impression this was a small-ish boat, about 30 - 40 people, fairly intimate, which was what I was expecting. Instead it's a large party boat, over 100 people, which wouldn't have been bad but for the blaring constant loud headache-inducing rock and party music which blasted out constantly the whole time apart from when the boat stopped for swimming (and when dolphins were spotted). Fine if that's your thing, but to my mind it was completely misrepresentative of what to expect. Nowhere did it say party boat! I didn't get the chance to look at online reviews and had I done I don't think I would have gone. Having said that, it was enjoyable if you could ignore the music and the people who were clearly there mainly for the drink and partying. The food was fine, there were enough spaces to sit, the sunset was nice to see, we were lucky and saw dolphins, swimming in the ocean was nice (they don't come in to check you are safe, so you have to be confident in the water by yourself), the whole thing was quite reasonable for the money. As a parent, I wouldn't take young children on it unless they are OK with crowds and loud music.

It's okay for a crowded tourist experience - I'm sorry to disappoint but I have to be honest when I say that I cannot recommend booking this cruise. I feel like it was a rookie mistake to book spots on such a large, crowded vessel. Here are some reasons why I say this: Right from the beginning, pickup and transport was sketchy. Drivers didn't speak much english and they had trouble getting up the steep hills in the shuttle van. They will ask for your passport numbers so have those handy. The hot tubs were not hot or working, snorkeling was bad since water was deep and there was nothing to see, boat was crowded with lots of drunken tourists, waterslides look fun from a distance but when in the water watching people take the slides, all of them complained about how horrible and painful they were. Food was just okay, they served some tuna with a red sauce pasta salad. Long lines to wait in for snorkel equipment or food. Some fruit offered early on as a snack. One bartender was very attentive and also managed to anchor us in the snorkel spot so he was great, the others, not so much. Yes, the sunset was nice and we did see and cruise with dolphins. I'd suggest you find a much smaller charter cruise.

An employee continuously made advances to my girlfriend - Definitely a great party boat-atmosphere and music are great. The only problem? One of the employees danced with a bunch of women on the boat, came to grab my girlfriend by hand, danced to 2 songs (vs. 1 song for all other women he danced with) of course dancing in salsa style. As if that was not enough, he came by to pick up a piece of pineapple that did not exist, which was apparently next to my girlfriend's right thigh. He came back the second time and told my girlfriend "you look sad" and started to hit on her. At that point, I slammed my drink on the bench. This is the kind of employees Catamaran Ocean King hires. Needless to say, I ended the relationship with my girlfriend that night.
