May Day Thrills in Quepos: River Tubing and Wildlife Wonders Await!

Dive into the heart of Costa Rica this May Day with thrilling river tubing on the Savegre and a wildlife-packed tour of Manuel Antonio Park. Despite the rain, the lush landscapes and vibrant wildlife promise an unforgettable adventure.

Embrace the Wild: River Tubing on the Savegre

As the sun peeks through the clouds on May 3rd, the Savegre River beckons with its promise of adrenaline and adventure. The River Tubing Adventure is not just a ride; it’s a journey through the heart of Costa Rica’s lush landscapes. With the river’s rapids classified as Class II+, this adventure is perfect for those seeking a thrill without the extreme danger. The journey begins at 8:00 AM or 12:30 PM, offering a flexible schedule to fit your day.

Imagine the rush of water beneath you, the spray of the river cooling your skin as you navigate the twists and turns of the Savegre. The guides, renowned for their expertise and friendliness, ensure that every moment is both safe and exhilarating. One recent review, dated April 12, 2025, captures the essence of this experience:

Tubing experience - This review while a little late is the review I wanted to be SURE I wrote. We went tubing and our instructor and guide was Jason. I wanted to be sure to write this review because while the experience was great, Jason deserves the 5 stars! The experience was AMAZING thanks to him. I have a huge fear of water and flipping over (I did not flip) and Jason was SOOO kind and assuring. He helped ease all my fears away. Jason has so much knowledge about the river, plants, wildlife, and so much more. I truly do not think I would have been able to relax and take in this experience without Jason. I am SOO grateful to him. Id definitely book with extreme M&R again and special request Jason!

As you float down the river, take a moment to appreciate the surrounding beauty. The lush greenery, the vibrant wildlife, and the sheer joy of being in such a pristine environment make this an unforgettable experience.

Discover Nature’s Wonders: Manuel Antonio Park

For those who prefer a more grounded adventure, the Deluxe Park Tour offers a chance to explore one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. Available from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on both May 3rd and 4th, this tour is a must for nature enthusiasts.

Manuel Antonio Park is a treasure trove of wildlife, and with a seasoned guide by your side, you’re guaranteed to spot creatures you might otherwise miss. From monkeys swinging through the trees to sloths lazily hanging from branches, every step in the park is a discovery. A review from April 24, 2025, highlights the magic of this tour:

Animal filled walk through the jungle - Rodolfo was a terrific guide. Extremely knowledgeable, excellent at spotting animals and very personable. Would recommend!

The park’s beaches are equally stunning, offering a perfect spot to relax after your hike. Remember to pack your swimsuit and personal water flask, as commercial plastic bottles are not allowed. As you walk through the park, let the sounds of the jungle envelop you, and feel the pulse of nature in every breath.
