Outstanding Family Experience with Jerry at Tukan Tours
Our family traveled in December 2025 and had the absolute pleasure of working with Jerry from Tukan Tours. From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations.
Jerry was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and thoughtful in planning our excursions. He took the time to understand that we were traveling as a family and tailored everything to balance adventure, comfort, and fun for all ages. Exceptional Experience with Jerry at Tukan Tours - Jerry was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, he felt less like a tour guide and more like a personal concierge and friend. He went above and beyond every single day—helping us with food shopping, giving local recommendations, and making sure every excursion was top-notch and perfectly tailored to our family.

Best tour of Manuel Antonio - Our family took a tour from San Jose to Manuel Antonio National Park. We were very fortunate to have Jerry as our tour guide. Jerry was extremely thoughtful to our needs and knowledgeable about Costa Rica wildlife and culture. For example, on our drive back to San Jose —despite the traffic— he was kind enough to pull over just so we could see a sloth!
The entire tour was top notch from ease of pick up/drop off to the food to the beautiful park itself.

Tukan Tours - very experienced! - Our private tour with Tukan Tours was fantastic! Our tour guide was so accommodating of our family of five helping us see everything we wanted to see. Jerry was very experienced and knowledgeable of the area which made for a great tour, great meal, and overall great trip!

Amazing experience you must live - Do not miss the opportunity to visit this beautiful park, you will spend a full day in the best way and more if you do it with Tukan Tours, the guide is excellent, knows a lot about the place and you can see that he enjoys his work. Amazing guide and tour to Manual Antonio! - Had a great time and tour with Jerry. He picked us up from our hotel in San Jose and took us to Manual Antonio for the day. Jerry was very knowledgeable and a fun companion for the day. On the drive there he even pulled over as he spotted two scarlet macaws in a nearby tree - amazing! Manual Antonio park itself was beautiful and we got to see lots of wildlife, mostly pointed out by Jerry.

Pura Vida with Jerry!! - I cannot say enough good things about our trip to Manuel Antonio and Tortuguero the next day with Jerry!! He is a passionate, knowledgeable, and fantastic tour guide. We loved getting to spend two days with him exploring both coasts of Costa Rica! We always felt safe on the tour, were given clear instructions on meeting times, and memorable moments throughout the day. Jerry’s love for his country is so obvious and you cannot help but shout Pura Vida all day long. If you are in Costa Rica, you need to book a tour with Jerry!

Not notified of cancellation!!!! - We booked a tour, received confirmation and had a scheduled pick up time. We were waiting for our pick up and no one showed, so we called and that’s when we found out the park we were trying to go was sold out. They did not notify us until then. They could have canceled, sent us an email, called, texted, anything. Instead we were standing outside just waiting. When I called they did apologize and stated we would get a full refund. I do not see the refund yet after a few days and will now have to call about that. Very disappointing experience. If there were no tickets they should not have booked the tour or cancelled and notified us!! Terrible customer service.
