So much fun! - Gonzalo was our guide, very knowledgeable about the area and was able to find so many animals that we missed. He answered all the questions I had, even though some were random. But the highlight of the experience was the monkeys!!! He knew them by name and could even tell us about their personalities. It was so cool to watch the entire family interact with each other and us. I would definitely recommend this tour. Just remember to wear something that you don’t mind getting a little muddy….but it’s worth it!

Mangrove and Rainmaker Tours - Two great tours arranged by Alonso Hernández for us. The mangrove tour was well arranged and we saw monkeys, snakes, crocs and more. We also really enjoyed our tour of the Rainmaker Park and our guide was very knowledgeable, knowing exactly were to find the animals. Would recommend.

Amazing Family-Friendly Tour!!!!! - Alonso set us up with the monkey mangrove tour another great experience highly recommend!! We had such a fun and memorable experience on the Mangrove Monkey Boat Tour in Costa Rica! We went as a family with our kids, and it was perfect for all ages. The boat ride through the mangroves was beautiful and peaceful, and we got to see alot of wildlife up close—including, of course, the monkeys which was our favorite! Our tour guide was absolutely fantastic, super knowledgeable, friendly, and hilarious! He kept everyone entertained with fun facts and jokes the whole time, which made the experience even better. We also really appreciated that our group wasn’t too big, so it felt more personal and relaxed. Seeing the monkeys come right up to the boat was such a unique experience, and our kids were completely fascinated. It was both educational and fun—something we’ll all remember for a long time. Highly recommend this tour to any families visiting the area. It’s a must-do!

Amazing tour - We had so much fun on this tour! Each of us had a monkey sit on us and got the best videos! We saw so much other wild life as well and the whole family loved it. The guide was so knowledgeable and knew every plant’s name and so much info on all of the animals. Highly recommend!

Excellent, fun and memorable. - We had a great guide who was very knowledgeable and made it fun overall. We saw sloths, boa constrictors, iguanas, Jesus Christ Lizards, and had capuchin monkeys hop on our shoulders. I highly recommend it. Fun and quite laid back and chill.

Interesting but not good value - The boat tour operators and guide were kind but not very knowledgeable or experienced with pointing out animals and giving good information about them or the mangroves. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for 2 hours but definitely not worth $62/person. In comparison, our 2 hour tour in Manuel Antonio National Park cost $28/person and we learned much much more from our very knowledgable guide and overall felt more awed and amazed by the animals and landscape. It was easy to reach the boat dock (20-30 minute drive from the main street / resort area).
