Our guide, Memo, was able to tell so much interesting information about the ecosystem of the mangrove and wildlife that you can find living here. We hadden a wonderfull experience and can really recommend it! Thank you Memo!

THE BEST MANGROVE TOUR IN MANUEL ANTONIO/QUEPOS - YOU MUST COME HERE!! We booked our tour through the Quepos tourism center in person. Our tour was at 8 am, and we got picked up at 7:15 am at our hotel. The kind man gave us a small tour of Quepos as we drove through the town. When we arrived, we were met with our tour guide, Allan, who brought us around the camp near the dock. I got to ride a bull as I explained the significance of the palm fruit to the local economy. My boyfriend doesn’t speak Spanish, and Allan spoke excellent English and explained the biology. We also found out that we were going on a private tour, without paying any extra! It was so interesting and we learned so much! Over the duration of our tour, we chatted and established a friendly relationship. Following the tour, we came back and tie the freshest fruit of our lives. The hospitality, kindness, and generosity made this an unforgettable experience I couldn’t recommend enough!!

Mangrove Boat Tour - Booked tour through our hotel concierge recommendation and it did not disappoint. Timely shuttle pick-up/return, very organisized, and safe. Tour included a short walk through the garden area and farms prior to the boat tour, and from the moment you enter the grounds are beautiful. Memo was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable, friendly, patient with our group, and more importantly passionate about his work! Clean bathrooms on site and breakfast/lunch provided was quite good! While we didn't see as much wildlife as we thought we would, wouldn't hesitate to recommend or take this tour again!

Excellent - It was excellent. Memo was a great guide as well as Alan as the boat captain. He was very knowledgeable & jovial. We learned about lizards, bats, iguanas, snakes, birds, water buffalo and monkeys. We also saw all of those species. Highlight was the teenage gang (14) of monkeys that showed their antics and even came on our boat and tried to steal my hat.

Amazing experience and guide! - We just had an absolutely phenomenal mangrove tour with Johnny as our amazing guide. He was excited to answer all questions, had a ton of knowledge about the local ecosystem and animals. We saw monkeys, sloths, crocodile, lizards, and a boa constrictor. When I mentioned that my 9yo son really wanted to see a mangrove crab, he prioritized it, and we saw one within minutes. One important thing to know is that other boats run this tour, but they don’t do it ethically. For example, they hand feed monkeys so that tourists can get a picture, but that can make monkeys very sick. This company is very ethical - you will get a very up close view of the animals with amazing pictures, safely for you and the animals.

Excellent way to spend a morning - The tour is an easy two hour float over on the grounds of a working oil palm farm. The stars of this show are basilisk lizards and curious capuchin monkeys who will frequently climb onto the boats, but of course we saw a lot of other creatures, from water sliders to many birds and even a sleeping anteater. In general the nature guides in Costa Rica are excellent, and our guide Memo was exceptional. On thé practical side: only a few mosquitoes; the boat ( and your shoes) will be dry; take the first tour in am when the animals are more active; I would recommend this flat-bottom boat over he similar kayak tour since IMHO you will see more, hear more, scare away fewer residents and sweat less.

Amazing Experience!!!! - I had the most amazing time on this tour! Our guides name was Jhonny and he was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the ecosystem and wildlife in the area. We tasted and smelled different species of plants in the garden area and interacted with water buffalos and monkeys. We also saw sloths, iguanas and turtles. Finished off with a great lunch meal! It was very warm, about 85 with a UV index of 10. I suggest you bring plenty of sunscreen and a hat!
Thanks to the staff and jhonny! PURA VIDA!!

Amazing Tour with Jhonny - We did the mangrove boat tour, and it was a great way to spend several hours. Jhonny was our tour guide, and he did a fantastic job explaining the local palm plantation, water buffalo, and wildlife along the river. It was an easy going boat ride where we had ample opportunity to learn about the local landscape and ask questions. The Costa Rican lunch afterwards was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend this experience!
