- Quepos - While we drive through Quepos on the way back we always check for Macaw nests to make a wonderful picture of them.
- Esquipulas - Here we will take our time to find as many birds as we can. Your local bird expert will look for hotspots to find the beautiful orange collared Manakin, turquoise Cotinga, white Crested Coquette, scaly…
- Quepos - While we drive through Quepos on the way back we always check for Macaw nests to make a wonderful picture of them.
- Esquipulas - Here we will take our time to find as many birds as we can. Your local bird expert will look for hotspots to find the beautiful orange collared Manakin, turquoise Cotinga, white Crested Coquette, scaly Breasted Hummingbird, King Vulture, black Hooded Antshrike, chestnut Back Antbird, black Throated Trogon, and many more. After that we take a break in a restaurant surrounded with more birds where we have costarrican authentic breakfast. After that we look for some more birds before continuing. There is trail to do or places just to sit and wait for birds. Your guide will adapt the activity for your needs.

Escaped the crowds and the tour exceeded our expectations - This experience is well-worth the cost, as it includes alot of time and also a great breakfast, but most importantly a local expert who has great experience with locating wildlife. We were picked up right at our hotel and started viewing even on the drive out of Quepos / Manuel Antonio. It was great to see so many species in such a short amount of time. Fabio's attention to detail and our interests was extremely appreciated. He is very knowledgeable about the wildlife and where to find it, and joins in on taking pictures when there's a great find. He even got in touch with another tour operator whom we had scheduled for a night tour later, to make sure we were connected with a good guide. Highly recommended if you are into birding or photography, or just want to skip the very crowded park and see and hear wildlife in a more natural environment.

Best birding!!!! Very passionate guide - Costa Rica is amazing for wildlife but I was in need of a next level wildlife experience and Fabio delivered!!! He is so passionate about wildlife and was more than happy to share his genius and took me to some amazing locations to experience so wonderful encounters! I had some David Attenborough moments where we witnessed red-capped manakins dancing and toucans playing with branches and preening. I had such a great day I ended up going on another one of his tours the following day. He made it his mission to give us the best encounters.
When I got back to Costa Rica I’m definitely going to seek out Fabio again!

Excellent birding day - Fabio was an outstanding bird guide. We saw around 65 species of birds, including manakins, macaws, honeycreepers, hummingbirds, tanagers, king vultures, parrots, and many more. If you're a birder, you will be very happy with Fabio. He's knowledgeable about bird ecology and adaptations as well as the flora and other fauna of the region. Breakfast was great too! Thank you, Fabio!

The Perfect last morning in Costa Rica - We're a family from the U.S., and we couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our last morning in Costa Rica. This tour was absolutely the highlight of our trip! We got to see every bird we were hoping for, and our guide was fantastic, he even took some incredible photos of the birds for us. It was such a fun and meaningful experience for the whole family. We’ll remember this forever!

Wonderful birding and wildlife experience - We had such a great experience with Fabio and his team! We spotted tons of birds, including quite a few we likely wouldn’t have been able to find on our own, like the king vulture and red capped manakin. The reserve was gorgeous, and the whole team was so helpful with identifying birds, finding them in the scope for a closer view, and taking great photos and videos to share with us. Highly recommend this experience!

Birders from Indiana - Oh my gosh….my husband and I had a birding tour with Fabio this morning. Got an early start to be able to take advantage of more bird activities. Fabio knows the area and the birds SO well and shares his knowledge and expertise freely. He is so quick to hear a bird, spot them, get his spotting scope in position, and snap pics thru the scope, all while allowing us to see each and every bird. Truly a professional that I would easily and highly recommend to any birder. We found so many amazing birds, which was a prime reason for visiting CR. Give him a try…you won’t be disappointed!!

A great show of birds - Fabio Araya is excellent at spotting and attracting the birds of Costa Rica. He is enthusiastic! Driving into the mountains was a visual treat and a relief to the coastal heat. We had so much fun and learned so much from him. We would definitely do it again!

Wonderful experience!! - This was definitely the highlight of our trip, no crowds, beautiful mountains, delicious costarrican breakfast and coffee and the most important and our favorite was all the species our guide found for us and super nice photos. Very professional tour we were very happy and will always recommend to all our friends! We really wanted to see a Caracara and the guide found it for us and also got awesome photos of it!!
I would do it again for sure!
