Adventure and Authenticity at Mulguri Waterfalls - Our Mulguri Waterfalls Eco Tour with Julian was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish. The journey up the mountain through lush rainforest and rural villages set the stage for a day filled with beauty, laughter, and discovery. Julian was phenomenal—an engaging, fun, and deeply knowledgeable guide who blended humor, storytelling, and his background in herpetology to make every part of the tour come alive. He joined in all the fun, swimming with us beneath the waterfalls and capturing incredible photos along the way, which he later shared with us. Even when I nearly passed out on the climb back up from the falls, Julian made sure we were safe, hydrated, and still having the best time. After our hike, we were welcomed into a local family’s mountain home for a traditional Costa Rican lunch. The meal and hospitality were unmatched—authentic, delicious, and heartfelt, offering a glimpse into true Costa Rican life. The hanging bridges, scenic trails, and breathtaking views rounded out a day that felt both exhilarating and deeply grounding. If you’re looking for a genuine, nature-forward experience that captures the soul of Costa Rica, ask for Julian. His passion, warmth, and expertise make this tour an absolute must.

Wonderful, less touristy spot and awesome guide! - Best experience!!! Our guide Alexis was super friendly and knowledgeable. He was happy to help me practice my Spanish and very patient with our group. It was a private tour w/6 of us, myself, husband and 12-y/o son and my sister, BIL and 11-y/o niece. He let us go at our own pace and even helped my niece navigate some of the slippery rocks. We didn't come across any other tourists which was also nice - had the whole place to ourselves!
