Outstanding guide and wonderful hospitality - Our group of four booked two days with Tucanes and the experience was amazing. Our guide for both days, Stephanie, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Our time with her made us feel like we were all family. The communication during booking great. The guide communicated with us each day resulting in an easy meetup. Local Flavors Tour On day one we traveled to the family farm where after gathering fresh ingredients from the garden we began our hands on cooking experiences. The cook lead us in chopping, mixing and preparing great dishes. Truly a wonderful experience. Manuel Antonio National Park Don’t try to visit on your own as you will miss so much! Stephanie was amazing and her knowledge of the flora and fauna was truly impressive. Her ability to spot animals was incredible and the overall experience was memorable. When considering a tour from Jaco or Quepos, Tucanes Tours should certainly be on your list.

5 star manuel antonio tour - We had a great tour with Jeremy who was super knowledgeable about the animals and the area. He pointed out loads of animals which we would never have spotted. There were quite a few groups in the park but we managed to go to some more secluded parks. He was really helpful when we decided we would stay in the park explaining to us the different routes and beaches we could go to. Loved the tour!!!

an eventful day - We stayed with Brenda in Manuel Antonio National Park. Despite the rainy season, it was very crowded as expected. But she led us along paths that were less frequented and showed us animals that we would never have discovered on our own, such as a lance otter that was only the size of a cookie. We also discovered toucans, sloths, an anglehead agam, a hummingbird and bats with their help. We had the opportunity to take a dip in the Pacific and she also took a lot of time for some family photos of us. Thank you for this lovely day!😊

Fantastic hike with bathing stay- wonderful! - There were two of us on the road with Brenda. She took a lot of time for us and explained us wonderfully vividly the animal and plant world. We captured wonderful memories in photos she took with her telescope and our cell phones. In addition, she responded very flexibly to our personal wishes so that we could put our bathing stay at the end of our tour and extend it. We are super satisfied. Anytime again!

With Toucan Tours, Pura Vida! - After seeing so much nature, I thought this excursion would be more of the same, but nothing further from reality. Thanks to Brenda, an excellent guide, who through her telescope took spectacular photos of me, as well as her extensive knowledge, everything proved a fabulous experience. Dressed all with a swim on that dream beach and a finish with fresh fruit and drink, you can not ask for more. Excellent team from this company. My most sincere congratulations.

Amazing tour guide and tour! - We loved this tour of the park. It was four hours all together and worth every second. Our guide talked a lot about the different plants and animals and history of the park. He found every animal we wanted to see! Lots of sloths, monkeys, crabs, snakes, birds, iguanas, a rodent not sure of the name. We had a little time to venture out on our own but then came back together and the adventure continued!! There were only 6 of us in our group so we were able to ask lots of questions. It rained some but not too bad. Hotel pickup and the fruit after was a nice plus.

OK but staying independent would have been better - Our guide, Ronald, was good. However, with hindsight (as we had a rental car), we should have booked a private guide and our own tickets to the park. No criticism of the company but a we spent a lot of time with the bus transfer and waiting for other guests. Had we stayed "independent" we could have a spent a lot more time in the park, and at the wonderful beach. We saw sloths, monkeys, iguanas etc., but if you going for the wildlife, there are better and bigger opportunities elsewhere in Costa Rica, especially around Monteverde.

Inexperienced and disinterested tour guide who neglected safety, extremely disappointed w experience. We left early - Our tour guide Katherine was a DISASTER and frankly a safety hazard. We should have known something was wrong where unlike every other guide at Manuel Antonio she didn’t give us an intro to the park. (Someone later asked who Manuel Antonio is and she responded “he’s Bolivian” and that was it!) We definitely knew something was wrong when it took her MINUTES to set up her scope once (and someone in the group had to ask her to set it up so we could get a closer look at a snake). We watched other guides do this same maneuver in seconds and then watched in dismay as their groups all left well before us as we continued to wait and wait. But the thing that caused us to walk out was that another guide had to stop and tell a member of our group to not leave the path because of the presence of venomous snakes and other dangerous creatures around. Katherine had never mentioned that and watched someone do this and didn’t seem to care. We had our young daughter with us and made an excuse to leave - we just couldn’t live with this risk. We reached out to the company directly to express our concerns and got a generic reply back about how well-trained all their guides are. From our experience — save your money and use it on one of the many many other tour companies out there who care more.
