UNREAL! A Must Do and I cannot recommend enough! - We arrived in Queenstown around 2:00pm and we thought a sunset boat ride on the TSS Earnslaw would be the perfect way to set the tone for our week in Queenstown....AND WOW WE WERE RIGHT!!! I wish we took this tour twice it was SO STUNNING and so relaxing and the views are ABSOLUTELY UNREAL!!!!! I will be dreaming about this experience for years and years to come until we return to New Zealand!

Beautiful and serene - The views are amazing. A great experience for young and old. Great access to most areas on the boat including the engine room to take wonderful photos.

Steam powered lake boat that brings you back in time to an earlier age. - A great day on the lake with a fantastic lunch at the far end of the lake. The old stream engine driven boat was a step back in time and fascinating to see in operation, children were delighted..

Amazing experience on TSS Earnslaw. - Booking was super easy, had a cuffed gift voucher and staff were easy to deal with to use this. Boarding process was quick, staff were all friendly. Plenty of seating room both inside and out on front deck. Can also see the men at work shoveling coal (14 tonne of coal a day) and watching the engine work as there is a viewing platform you can stand on. Had a bar and some food onboard too. Can become windy if outside so take a light jumper or jacket.

Worth Doing - Booking was easy. The boat was wonderful, built in 1912 and coal fired. A great trip to the sheep station with fantastic views. A wonderful buffet, the meat was especially excellent. Helpful staff and nice toilets. We enjoyed the s help dog and sheep sharing demonstration. Again a good trip back. Altogether great value

The boat can get very... - The boat can get very full when taking a trip that coincides with the BBQ cruise however the return trip was nice a quiet. Lovely old ship. Being able to walk into the engine room and see it from above was a really unique experience, the small museum is informative and there is informative commentary along the way. A lovely way to spend the evening.

A great way to see Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding scenery - The TSS Earnslaw was an excellent way to see the Lake and the surrounding scenery.
Fabulous to see the engine in action with its viewing platform.
Nice to be able to have a drink onboard. Hard to hear the commentary, due to piano being played.

Not terrible catch tourist - The boat ride is nice. The setting is splendid, but a real waste of reception at the entrance is deplorable. However, we came across a very friendly and smiling waiter. However, the buffet does not have much choice and is flavorless, chicken tastes fresh, meat tasteless, raw casi mussels. Very few choices for the whole buffet. Disappointing experience for far too much price. The setting is so pretty, but it stops there the buffet deserves no praise. Another tourist catch after 45 min buffet already closed and therefore no second passage possible long live the name buffet. It disgusts me. The skyline buffet is much better and at least worth a visit.

Very overpriced - Very overpriced. For $100 there wasn't even a cup of coffee. The cruise was crowded and the actual time was only one hour. We only joined the cruise and not including getting off for the food. Just the cruise was very boring.
