Starting from the Ziptrek Treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola, you’ll zip down the mountain, enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Remarkables mountain range. With three different tours available, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re new to Queenstown’s adventure scene, eager to experience the world’s steepest tree-to-tree zipline, or ready to take on our latest tour, the Kereru, which includes a 21-meter drop!
- The maximum weight for any Ziptrek Ecotour is 125kg (275lbs). The Kea tour has a minimum weight of 30kg (66lbs).
- Gondola tickets are not included in price - we recommend a minimum of 60 minutes to access the upper Skyline complex from the base terminal, or at least 90 minutes in peak times
- Please bring an extra layer of clothing year round! Jackets, hats and gloves are recommended. Closed toe shoes are essential (no sandals, flip flops or heels)
- Prior to your arrival it is mandatory to complete a Participant Consent Form. The web link to this form will be within your voucher
- Youths under the age of 14 years MUST be accompanied by a paying adult (15 years and over) on tour. Those 17 years and under must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian who is 18 years or over.
- If you or anyone in your group has a medical condition or a recent injury please bring this to our attention. Pregnant woman are unable to go on tour.
- Not allowed for travelers over the weight limit of 125kg (275lbs)

Ziptrek Treehouse – Tour Check-In
The Ziptrek Treehouse is located at the top of Skyline gondola. Please turn left and walk approximately 300 feet (100 metres) from the Skyline top terminal building, just past the helipad.
Return point: Kereru and Moa tours returns to original departure point
Kea tour concludes at the gondola base

Awesome zip line experience. - Awesome zip line experience. Leah and Olivia were extremely professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, and fun. Do the 6 lines. It’s very safe and exciting

Tree top Ziplining with style & amazing QT view! - Set on top of the Gondola, Ziptrek did an excellent job of providing interesting nuggets of information about Queenstown and New Zealand. Ben & Lauren were very personable and entertaining as they skillfully hooked the group into the safety gear. There were a couple of novice Zipline who well taken care of. Definitely get there earlier to ensure timeliness. There was some construction outside the gondola which can cause confusion.

Informative and friendly staff, made this an exciting adventure. - Very professional staff, worked well as a team, and gave lots of facts about the area and it's history. The Ziplines were great surrounding the trees and high on the Ben Lomond reserve.

Zip Line ✅ - Between the three tour guides there was conversation, laughter and education throughout the zip lining course. Everything about the day was explained so well. Accessing photos afterwards was easy and weren’t expensive to purchase like some places can be! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is visiting as an experience to tick off!

Great Zip line very Safe - We took a zip-line tour in Queenstown, and it was absolutely incredible. The views were out of this world — mountains, lake, and pure New Zealand beauty everywhere you look. The lines were fast, thrilling, and perfectly safe, and the guides were excellent. They were fun, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel smooth and well-organized.
If you’re visiting Queenstown, I can’t recommend this tour enough. It’s an unforgettable way to experience the adventure capital of New Zealand!

Fantastic Zipline Experience - What a great afternoon zipping through 6 lines in the trees down towards Queenstown. We absolutely loved it and the challenges on each line made it more interesting and fun. Our guides were great, a little bit slower than expected due to a trainee learning on the job (but did a great job!).

Well rounded adventure - This tour is a must do. It’s thrilling zip lines tied with learning about the local environment, history and sustainability initiatives. Shazz and Ben were great tour guides, very informative and entertaining.

Handy if up Gondola - Great for beginners. The team were friendly and a good laugh. Paradise may have been more scenic. I preferred Canopy Tours in Rotorua. Zip Trek is great if you've already paid to go up the Gondola but the Gondola fee and parking costs alone don't justify doing the ziplines on their own.
