Starting from the Ziptrek Treehouse at the top of the Skyline Gondola, you’ll zip down the mountain, enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Remarkables mountain range. With three different tours available, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re new to Queenstown’s adventure scene, eager to experience the world’s steepest tree-to-tree zipline, or ready to take on our latest tour, the Kereru, which includes a 21-meter drop!
- The maximum weight for any Ziptrek Ecotour is 125kg (275lbs). The Kea tour has a minimum weight of 30kg (66lbs).
- Gondola tickets are not included in price - we recommend a minimum of 60 minutes to access the upper Skyline complex from the base terminal, or at least 90 minutes in peak times
- Please bring an extra layer of clothing year round! Jackets, hats and gloves are recommended. Closed toe shoes are essential (no sandals, flip flops or heels)
- Prior to your arrival it is mandatory to complete a Participant Consent Form. The web link to this form will be within your voucher
- Youths under the age of 14 years MUST be accompanied by a paying adult (15 years and over) on tour. Those 17 years and under must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian who is 18 years or over.
- If you or anyone in your group has a medical condition or a recent injury please bring this to our attention. Pregnant woman are unable to go on tour.
- Not allowed for travelers over the weight limit of 125kg (275lbs)

Ziptrek Treehouse – Tour Check-In
The Ziptrek Treehouse is located at the top of Skyline gondola. Please turn left and walk approximately 300 feet (100 metres) from the Skyline top terminal building, just past the helipad.
Return point: Kereru and Moa tours returns to original departure point
Kea tour concludes at the gondola base

An excellent experience! - Good fun and great scenery on the way down. The staff were friendly and competent, and we had a great group of people. Well worthwhile!

A blast and a half! - This was my first zipline experience ever and I loved it! It was fun and exhilarating without being terrifying. The 6-line tour includes a 20 minute hike, but there's an option for people with mobility issues (or young kids) to ride down.
The 6-line tour was ideal, because it didn't feel like it was over too fast..

Zipping through the trees...weeeeee - I did the 6 line Kea and had a blast. Steve and Chazz were super entertaining and kept the energy high. I've participated with Ziptrek in Whistler, Canada as well and the quality is top notch. Safe, fun, and lines that push your comfort zone just a bit, then make you want to do more. Highly recommend ziplining and if you're a little nervous, Ziptrek is a great operation to get your feet wet, er, flying. 😁

A must do experience - We did the Kea 6-Line tour. 6 awesome ziplines. Have the courage to do the trustfall. :) Small walk (downhill) to the last zipline but anyone who needed it was offered transportation (limited places). Beautiful trees and scenery. Guides professional and knowledgeable. We had Tom and Hannah who were awesome.

The zip line was amazing... - The zip line was amazing
However, the “leasurely"walk would be quite challenging to anyone who is not fit and able
The staff were absolutely fabulous - Ava and Mere rock

Views and Thrills - Guides were extremely personable and knowledgeable. Felt safe the whole time. They made it fun. Our family of 6 including a 10-year old and 13-year old loved it. Views and thrills were amazing.

Highly recommend! - Views were amazing. The guides were very competent and also very nice. The ziplines themselves were great fun, though I don't have much to compare them against as this was my first time doing this activity.

Incredible Experience!! - Absolutely incredible experience mostly because of our guides Libby and Lauren. They were so informative, supportive and fun to be around. Cannot recommend this activity enough, great views with amazing zip lines!
