This half-day 4WD heritage tour takes you through the breathtaking Skippers Canyon, following the historic Skippers Road, which was hand-crafted during the Otago gold rush and etched into the cliffs above the Shotover River. Please note: Access over Skippers Bridge is currently closed due to ongoing maintenance and safety work. Consequently, access to the schoolhouse and cemetery is also restricted. Tours now operate to authorized points within the canyon, with alternative scenic and historical stops included.
