Following this, a stop at the nearby Coronet Viewpoint allows for a panoramic view of the Wakatipu Basin, offering a strategic overview of the travel itinerary. • Arrowtown - Recognized as New Zealand’s ‘Most Beautiful Small Town’ in 2020 and 2023, this charming village offers a glimpse into the gold rush era, appearing as if it is straight from the 1800s. Visitors can explore two Lord of the Rings filming sites within a short walk from town, followed by a delightful morning or afternoon tea in this quaint setting.

• Gibbston - Known as Central Otago’s Premier Wine Region, this area features a remarkable Lord of the Rings filming location, where visitors can learn about the production stories and the region’s winegrowing history. Additionally, thrill-seekers can witness daring jumps from the world’s first commercial bungee jump at the Historic Kawarau Bridge.

• Lake Hayes - This tranquil and picturesque lake offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, reminiscent of Middle Earth. Our picturesque Half Day Tour includes visits to Skippers Canyon Lookout (weather permitting), Arrowtown, The Gibbston Valley, and Lake Hayes.

You will have the opportunity to explore Lord Of The Rings locations such as The Ford of Bruinen, The Gladden Fields, The Pillars of the Kings, and more!

This tour features Morning or Afternoon Tea, and Photos with Authentic Props, as we boast the largest collection of Authentic Licensed replica props! We also provide copies of the original movie scripts and production call sheets, enriching your Middle Earth experience even further!
