Experience the enchanting setting of this globally recognized Harry Potter film location and watch the ‘Hogwarts Express’ steam train cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
The goal is to arrive by 12:20 pm, with the Jacobite train best viewed from the hill beyond the viaduct, a 25-minute walk, with the train expected between 1:10 and 1:30 pm.
- Fort William - Towering above all other UK mountains, Ben Nevis is the tallest and overlooks Fort William. Visitors will be taken to a vantage point to enjoy the scenery and capture stunning photos.

- The Three Sisters - The Three Sisters of Glencoe, the most photographed location in Scotland, are three mountain peaks formed 420 million years ago by a super volcano, with the valley below sculpted by glaciers over millions of years.
A hidden glen behind them was used by the MacDonald clan to conceal cattle stolen from neighbors.
30-minute drive from Fort William
- Rannoch Moor - A 20-minute drive brings us to Rannoch Moor, often called the most desolate place in the UK, as it is the largest bog expanse in the British Isles. It also served as a filming location for scenes in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
- Loch Tulla Viewpoint - A 5-minute drive takes us to Loch Tulla Viewpoint, which encapsulates everything The Highlands have to offer, from towering mountains to lochs and pine forests.
- Kilmahog - To break up the journey home, a brief stop will be made to hand-feed the Highland Hairy ‘Coos’ at Callander Woolen Mill.

- Doune Castle - A 20-minute drive from Kilmahog is Doune Castle, a significant Scottish historic castle, also a filming location for popular TV and films like Outlander, Game of Thrones, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. A quick stop for photos.

- Stirling Castle - One of the most significant and largest castles in Scottish history, Stirling Castle sits atop a hill of volcanic rock above the town of Stirling.

NOTE
The Jacobite train does not operate between 25th October and 27th March. During these months, we will still visit the Viaduct, but the train will not be passing by.
- Travel time is included on the total tour duration
- The Jacobite train only runs from early April to late October.
- UK cars are smaller than our American counterparts, please be aware of this when booking for 4 adults in a 4-passenger sized vehicle.
- Occasionally, the Jacobite train is replaced with a diesel train for operational reasons. This is completely beyond our control.
