The reserve boasts over 6,000 rock engravings from 5,000 to 40,000 years ago. The site also includes remnants of inhabited caves, settlements, and burials, showcasing the area’s extensive human activity during the wet period following the last Ice Age.

- Ateshgah - Fire Temple - This is one of Azerbaijan’s most extraordinary sights. Historical sources indicate that before the Indian Temple of Fire was built in Surakhani at the end of the 17th century, locals worshipped at this site due to the presence of “seven holes with burning flames.”
- Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve - Yanar Dag is a natural gas fire that burns continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula by the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, a country known as “the Land of Fire.” Flames shoot up to 3 meters (9.8 ft) from a thin, porous sandstone layer.

Gobustan National Museum and Open Air Rock Art Museum - A UNESCO Heritage site known for its wealth in age-old historical value, bursting with ancient archaeological proof of times long past. Mud Volcanoes - In close proximity to Gobustan, we’ll embark on a journey to observe the Mud Volcanoes. The Ateshgah Fire Temple, an uncommon landmark of Azerbaijan - Historically, even before the establishment of the Indian Temple Of Fire in Surakhani towards the late 17th century, the local populace respected this place due to its ‘seven holes emitting a burn’. Yanar Dag (Fire Mountain) - Located near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan also referred to as ‘the Land of Fire’, Yanar Dag is a constant natural gas inferno found on a slope on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea. This phenomenon causes jets of flame to leap 3 meters (9.8 ft) into the air from a thin, porous layer of sandstone.
