Artisans Angkor - Artisans Angkor is a Cambodian social enterprise established to revive Khmer cultural heritage and assist young rural individuals in finding employment near their home villages. Since its inception in the late 1990s, Artisans Angkor has worked to provide professional skills to communities with limited educational opportunities, offering excellent working conditions and social benefits to its employees. It has now established 48 workshops in Siem Reap province, employing over 1,100 people, including more than 800 artisans. Over the years, Artisans Angkor has become a true showcase of Khmer craftsmanship, known for its silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carvings, lacquerware, polychrome products, silver plating, and silk painting.
War Museum Cambodia - Located in Siem Reap, Cambodia, near National Highway No. 6 between the city and the International Airport, the War Museum Cambodia aims to preserve the memory of Cambodia’s civil war and maintain its unique collection for future generations.
Wat Thmey (Killing Fields) - This monastery serves as an orphanage and school, frequently visited by tour buses. While the temple remains a striking sight, visitors will hear the laughter of children and the sounds of daily Cambodian life, reminding them that life has moved on from the once-feared killing field.
More than just a site of historical tragedy, many visit Wat Thmey Temple to pay respects and remember those who lost their lives in the Cambodian Killing Fields. It serves as a reminder of a dark chapter in recent Cambodian history that will always be remembered by those who endured it.
Wat Bo Temple - Wat Bo Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in Siem Reap, Cambodia, features well-preserved 19th-century wall paintings. Although a Buddhist temple, some paintings depict the famous ancient love story of Rama and Shita, the strongest man and the most beautiful woman of all time. Even today, royal families in Southeast Asia claim descent from Rama. These wall paintings, depicting a Hindu story, are remarkable in a Buddhist temple. Wat Bo Temple also houses a large collection of Buddha statues located behind the main Buddha.
Psar Chaa - Old Market - The Siem Reap Old Market, located on the west side of the Siem Reap River, is where locals shop early in the morning for a wide variety of fresh vegetables, seafood, meat, and household items. Known locally as Psar Chas, it is the oldest Khmer market in Siem Reap and a must-visit for those seeking to experience the local lifestyle.
The open-air market is covered by a large roof, providing ample shade from the sun on hot afternoons. While the stalls may not be as refined as those in newer markets like Angkor Night Market, the wet section of Old Market is near the central food court, where vendors display live seafood in fish tanks and butchered poultry on ice trays. The dry section offers tropical fruits, household appliances, pre-packaged snacks, and local condiments such as prahok (fermented fish paste).

Angkor Wat - Visiting Cambodia’s World Heritage Temples of Angkor complex is a top priority for many travelers. Angkor Wat is the ultimate expression of Khmer genius, an awe-inspiring temple remarkable for both its grand scale and intricate detail. Learn about the history, significance, and features of this iconic temple, and start planning that once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Angkor Thom South Gate - At the South Gate of Angkor Thom, visitors will find the renowned Bayon and Baphoun temples, originally consisting of 54 towers and 216 faces of Buddhisatva Avalokesvara. During the visit, the tour guide will explain the historical facts of the Angkor Temples and the Khmer empire, highlighting all major Angkor architectural elements. After lunch, the vehicle will pass by both the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Ta Prohm Temple - Next, visit Ta Prohm Temple, known as the “jungle temple” or “tree temple” due to the lush trees surrounding the temple’s stones. The massive roots of the trees embracing the ruins have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples.
Banteay Kdei - In contrast to the often crowded and popular Angkorian ruins, Banteay Kdei is peaceful and quiet. Its name means “Citadel of Chambers,” which is fitting; the ruins are a fascinating maze of chambers that are a delight to explore. Also serving as a Buddhist temple, these ruins have housed an active monastery at various times since their construction in the 12th century, up until the 1960s.
Today, the ruins are overgrown and seemingly forgotten by the bustling Angkor tourism industry. Its solitude and mystery make it a hidden gem for explorers of the region. Tall trees cast shade over Buddhist bas-reliefs, and many hours can be spent exploring its meandering design.
Angkor Sunsets - As the heat of the day fades, take a moment to witness the sun’s glowing descent below the horizon. A kaleidoscope of intense, ever-changing colors sweeps across the sky, marking the end of another day in Siem Reap. During your stay, choose from eleven incredible sunset viewpoints. Our list caters to adventurers and zen-seekers alike, from mountainside vistas to city bars, hot air balloons, and cruises.
