Worth Visiting for the Animals - We visited Natuwa Sanctuary during our honeymoon through Costa Rica and overall had a good experience. The sanctuary has an impressive variety of animals. We even saw a jaguar and a danta (tapir), which was a huge highlight. There were plenty of other species to see as well, and since we went during the low season, it wasn’t crowded at all, which made it easy to explore at our own pace. Our tour guide was very kind and accommodating. She even gave us a private tour right before her lunch break, which we really appreciated. However, we would’ve loved to hear more detailed information about the animals, their stories, and the sanctuary’s conservation efforts. Still, the experience was worthwhile, and we’re glad we went. If you’re in the area and want to see a wide range of animals up close without big crowds, Natuwa is definitely worth a stop.
