The ride will commence on a fantastic signature route, which is mostly flat and follows the coastline, with stops at a few “secret spots.”
The ride will be led by Marla, an experienced guide and seasoned cyclist. She can pause to highlight interesting sights, offer riding tips, and tailor the experience to ensure it’s unforgettable. The group will always stay together!
On the return to Montezuma, there will be opportunities to capture some great photos and perhaps enjoy a refreshing drink to celebrate a wonderful ride!
Participants will experience a unique part of Costa Rica’s beauty: stunning rugged beaches, hidden world-class surf breaks, ancient tropical trees, and secret waterfalls.
- Isla de Cabuya - Cabuya Island is a magical location often seen from the road but rarely visited. It’s a place of legend and intrigue, rumored to be haunted by ghosts at night due to its long history as a cemetery. It also offers some of the best snorkeling, with wildlife like Pufferfish visible even without a snorkel.
If the tour coincides with low tide, biking onto the island is possible!
- Cedros - Near Playa Cedros, which will be visited during the journey, lies the breathtaking Playa Las Rocas.
This beach features two sandy shores and a freshwater river-mouth with a rope swing.
Playa Las Rocas boasts a “whale’s tail” rock formation, perfect for exploring and taking photos on the vibrant rocks.
In front of the rocks is a prime snorkeling area, favored by spear-fishermen and lobster-catchers. Many local families gather here, parking under the coconut trees, and some catch their family’s meal.
