Great night experience in the habitat of animals and insects - When we arrived in Costa Rica we said that for no reason we would do the night walk with wildlife, thanks to that we changed our mind, today I can say that it was one of the best experiences in Costa Rica. Entering the habitat of animals and insects, without disturbing them, and getting to know them in that way is very rewarding and an unparalleled experience. The experience of the guide and his clear instructions are essential to enjoy the experience and feel confident in the tour. I definitely recommend it.

Great sloths - The trip was great. We saw butterflies and sloths. The lunch was also great. The hanging bridges could have used a guide.

Loved it! - A beautiful private reserve run by kind and careful professionals. We did both the thrilling zip line and the bridges tours - and loved every minute. Nature lovers might take hours to get through the hikes - so much to see from the tiniest orchids to the largest ferns. The bridges tour especially would appeal to bird-watchers; so many opportunities to see beautiful and rare species. Go early: the park got busier midday, and it seems like the likelihood of rain increases as the day unfolds.

To do. - We had a great time. The zip lines are superb and the supervision perfect. We also did suspension bridges and sloths. Also pzrfait. Small downside for the side items that I find overpriced (shop, meals, etc.).

Great hanging bridges - While it was a bright sunny day for us trekking through the cloud forest, we felt it gave us a lot better viewing opportunities. Definitely go with a guide, but don't pay the extra amount for a private guide. The guides will point out things you will never see on your own and give you so much information about flora and fauna. We just had four of us in our group. We did see the elusive Quetzel bird which was lucky for us.

Overrated - It is not worth taking the suspension bridges tour, very boring, you do not see animals, it is not worth it. The canopy (zip line) tours look better. Avoid the restaurant to eat, the food is mediocre and the service is bad. They have good drinks if you want to have something before or after but in short the place is very expensive for what it is.

Roads and flow of operation are less than desired - FYI- the roads to the park are awful if you are driving yourself. There was slight mud on the hill you may have a hard time getting there(which the roads are not paved and it’s like playing Mario Cart). The flow of the zip line was not great. You end up having a group >20 people and you will have to wait for them to go. Once the line moves it’s ok, until the 5th or 6th zip line because the guides have to come to the second half of the zip lines. Which then you have to wait another 30 minutes. The guides were nice and friendly, but be prepared to wait. Then the guided tours by the park are only available at quarter after the hour. You cannot go to the sloth sanctuary, reptiles, butterflies on your own. So the roads are awful and the flow of the operation needs to be improved. The people are friendly.

Uninteresting and very expensive - Walking on the suspension bridges in the forest with the noise and screams of the zip line is just unbearable. We didn't see anything and the meal at the restaurant is just overpriced, Selvatura Parc is just a huge money machine.

Massive disappointment! Zero educational value, very touristy! - When I read the description I thought we would get a guided tour through the rainforest, crossing bridges, with some degree of educational aspect thru the guide. The rainforest was via a brick path (never touched forest floor) that led from one bridge to the next, of which there were 8 in total. No guide to explain anything! No signs either! Didn’t see one critter or insect for that matter. And no idea about any of the flora/fauna species or history of rain forest. Walk took about 1.5 hours. The only guided tour was through the butterfly exhibit which was quite good but brief. And apparently you are free to enter it anytime you like without a guide. Lunch was ok. Not worth the money in my opinion. Perhaps better just to show up and pay entrance fee if you want that kind of thing. Although not many places to eat along the way- so pack a lunch. We drove about 3 hours each way from Arenal via some pretty rough ‘dried river bed’ type roads to get there, getting a flat tire to boot! So add another $100 to this for a new tire! And if you want to see critters, birds, etc., suggest you go on your tour at 7am when animals are active and very few tourists. We saw tons more creatures just driving in Arenal area - lots of sloths, coati, etc. Waste of time and money - Arenal has plenty of rain forest, bridges and more. But If you are in Monteverdi area I’m sure you can do better than this extremely expensive and disappointing ‘tour’.
