This tour is not to be missed! - Sierra really knows what she’s doing! Her years of experience in this area garners the most exquisite experience. She has tons of knowledge of the area and the sea life that frequents Drake Bay. This tour is not to be missed! I went out several times, as I am aware how the weather affects things, how sea life has a mind of its own, etc. I wanted to be sure to experience the bounty of Drake Bay. And I was not disappointed! We saw many dolphins and whales on the tour, as well as sea snakes and sea turtles, plus diverse bird species. Sierra really takes the time to ensure the guests have what they need & provides everything she possibly can, including tons of interesting knowledge about the species of wildlife around Drake Bay. Highly recommend!

a learning adventure, an experience everyone needs to have - this is a must do. the experience of seeing these gentle creatures glide, play, dance is most heartwarming. we saw many whales, some in performance mode and others just minding their own business. i loved learning about their journeys, and many facts about their lives. a hydrophone was lowered to hear the underwater songs with hertz ranging across the scales of sound music. a world so foreign gave me a new appreciation of the species. i hope to next see the dolphins.

Watching whales next to your boat in serene tranquility is unforgettable, but so is following a thrilling chase! - The four of us had a great tour as a family with the good fortune to see flying fish, mating turtles and some dolphins first, a nice start. Then we saw a darting calf with a calm mother for an hour, enjoying herself next to our boat! And then also a heat run, in which 5 whale males chased a female in a spectacular way. It was incredible! For almost an hour we followed the group, with the captain sometimes stopping the boat and you could calmly take in the spectacle. We were quiet about it both times, such beautiful animals right next to the boat... It was nice that Sierra was as enthusiastic as we were. The peace and time there was to spot the animals really well, also contributed a lot. For a clear picture: Sierra took beautiful underwater shots of mother and calf that you can see on Instagram, just like the one from the heat run: @divine.dolphin.sierra. As she says: it's not a question of whether you're going to see whales in season, but the ones who want to show themselves to you. In the 28 years she has done this, there has been virtually no tour without whales or dolphins. Both the calf and its mother, as well as the 5 hot men, did not care about our presence, which made it even more magical. Compliments also to the captain who guided us quietly through the waves (on other tours we have experienced often clapping on the water after a high wave, not always pleasant) and for the delicious care: nuts and dried fruits as a welcome snack, plenty of water and a delicious pasta lunch - a welcome change after all the beans and rice.??? Still in doubt: it is more than worth it, we thought it was one of the best tours we had in CR. A great end to our tour! Thank Sierra and crew!

Fun with Humpback Whales & Dolphins! - Fantastic experience! We saw 7 Humpback Whales and a pod of dolphins. Sierra and the boat crew were excellent and provided a ton of interesting information about the whales and their behavior. Lunch was great too! A must-do if you’re in the area!

You must take this tour while in Drake Bay! - This was our second time coming to Drake Bay and going out with the Divine Dolphin and they never disappoint! We saw three species of dolphins, and hundreds and hundreds of them! Sierra is so passionate about these animals and she gets just as excited as the guests do and she has an uncanny skill of finding them. She is full of information and her captain, Alexis, is great at maneuvering around the animals with respect. The lunch was delicious, healthy and with no waste as they use reusable containers. It's great to find a tour company who walks the talk. We will be back again!

Great trip. A great company. - What an amazing trip. Hundreds of dolphins. Literally all around. Lots of turtles too, plus marlin and tuna. Sierra is doing great work to help secure the future of this wonderful part of the world and the tour is very ethical. I liked the little touches like the lunch, snacks, and drinks all being provided in reusable containers. No waste here :)

The best memories ever! - Wow! What an unforgettable day out on the Pacific! We had an exciting week in Drake Bay full of highlights and our tour with The Divine Dolphin sure was one of them. Thank you Sierra for taking our party of 3 - Peter, Greg and Jan - on this amazing boat trip. We did not see any activity for the first two hours, hoping to see whales, it did not happen but we were in for a treat of a different kind. We arrived in an area full of krill and all of a sudden we noticed hundreds of rays jumping out of the water and huge mantas swimming around our boat. Sierra took her camera and went into the incredible blue and clear water to film the mantas and we were allowed to join her! I cannot describle the feeling of being out so far on the ocean and going into the water, but I felt so much joy and peace watching mantas fly like angels around you, it is an experience I will never forget! On our way back we were finally joined by a family of 5 dolphins, soon there were hundreds of them swimming and playing all around us. If you have a chance to go to Drake Bay we can highly recommend taking a tour with Sierra, she is a professional and kind woman who will make sure your trip will be an amazing one! Thank you Sierra for one of the best moments in our lives! Greetings, Peter, Greg and Jan

We only have whales... - We have only been able to spot whales although there must have been dolphins in the area. It was also abruptly cut short: after 5am we were back on the beach.

Cannot be trusted - I would recommend finding another tour. I believe I was lied to by owner and staff. You know that feeling you get when something feels off. Divine dolphin has those vibes.

No dolphins , no whales , no snorkeling - My wife & I travelled to Drake's Bay specifically to take the Divine Dolphin cruise on Wednesday, February 19th. 2025. Unfortunately, it was not what the website had promised in that we saw no dolphins , no whales , no turtles & were not offered the opportunity to snorkel. I can't say it any clearer than that.....we saw zero sealife & didn't hear anything either as the advertised "hydrophone" wasn't turned on. We spent almost 5 hours motoring around without seeing any sealife or getting a chance to swim ( except for a pee break ) or snorkel. I did contact the owner directly by e-mail shortly after the tour and whilst she agreed that the excursion was disappointing she declined to offer any discount on another tour. Given that we live over 8,000 km away the likelihood of us being able to take up such an offer is pretty slim but it would have been a nice gesture. Finally, I found a 6" human hair in the trail mix snack provided which was pretty disgusting. Overall the tour was an extremely disappointing experience & I feel like a fool for outlaying $250 ( inc fees ) for such an experience. I'm sure that the owner will respond & attempt to discredit my honest review but the bottom line is , we saw NO dolphins , NO whales & DIDN'T snorkle which are the activities that the tour advertises.
