Fantastic Trip!!! - Francisco was a Terrific Guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. We saw numerous Sloths, Monkeys and Birds as well as other Wildlife. I highly recommend this trip!!!!

Highlight of our time in Caribbean Costa Rica - We had an amazing time on this trip. Yara is knowledgeable, friendly, and kind.
She started us off on a nature walk in forested land near the ocean. We saw monkeys and sloths and she shared relevant local and indigenous history.
The kayaking was exceptional. More animal sightings; birds, turtles, active monkeys, lizards, more sloths, etc. Yara took her time, answered our questions, and her love for the wildlife, local culture, and community was evident.
Afterwards we each had freshly opened coconuts and drink delicious coconut milk.
She even provided us with recommendations for dining and tours nearby and in other parts of Costa Rica.
10/10. No hesitation in recommending Yara for any of the tours that she offers.

A must do for nature lovers - Yara was the perfect guide. She was knowledgeable and passionate about the natural beauty that can be found on the Caribbean coast. Sloths, howlers, basilisks, turtles, iguanas, and white faced capuchins…it was a nature lovers dream.

Wildlife up close! - Yara is so chill and knowledgeable about Costa Rican history and nature. She walked us through a trail in the jungle and explained the symbiosis between some plants and animals and helped us spot crazy wildlife. We ended our trip with a kayak tour in the ocean and a small river. I learned so much and found such an appreciation for Puerto Viejo beyond being a beautiful vacation destination.

A great tour - Must do! Zara is very good ! She took all the time to show us around. We actually had a private tour! We had an issue with weather and Zara was very relax about moving the tour the next day with absoluty no drama. would do it again for sure !

absolute must if coming to puerto viejo best trip I could have imagined wildlife birds trees plants fruit all explained in real - Fantastic morning the guide was fantastic she had a lot of knowledge about local history, wildlife, flowers.
She could see animals that i would have missed completely inc spider monkeys. Sloth . Howler monkeys, turtles, bats ,iguanas , spuders birds inc green Macau heron, and lots of small birds to many to mention very very good tour can't recommend it enough.
About 90mins walking through forest learning about edible fruits, poisonous fruits medicinal plants , and birds ans animals then about 90mins slow paddle up the river seeing so much wildlife

Great guide - Super kayak tour done with Fransisco! Monkeys, turtles, sloths, toucans, birds scratch spiders and reptiles seen through the keen eye of Fransisco. Without him, all we would have seen were turtles. We felt extremely safe at fransisco while kayaking and during the hike. In addition, he knows all about the nature and animals in punta uva.
In short: huge recommendation.

Pachos Hike and Kayak Tour with Yara - Yara was a wonderful tour guide - very knowledgeable, personable and interesting. She was skilled at spotting lizards, birds and sloths.
Unfortunately, due to all the rain, the river was dirt brown, so the kayak part was not a picturesque as I imagine it could have been. We got off to a later start and had to turn back before dark - had been hoping for a little more kayaking.
The hiking part was fairly short and easy (except for the bit I skipped since I don't walk along ledges even with a guide rope).
All in all, a well worth it excursion.
