This adventure takes you into the Mexican Caribbean waters, where an expert guide will search for whale sharks in their natural environment. As these majestic creatures are entirely wild, sightings cannot be guaranteed.
The tour adheres to official wildlife protection guidelines. If fewer than 5 whale sharks are spotted, the experience will involve observing them from the boat.
When 5 or more whale sharks are found and conditions are favorable, guests will enter the water in pairs with a certified guide. After each swim, participants return to the boat to allow the next pair to enjoy the experience. Guests may have the chance to swim up to 3 times.
Whale sharks generally swim at approximately 5 km/h (3 mph), so this activity is best suited for guests who are confident swimming in open water.
