Epic Humpback Adventure - Fun to learn about Rudi’s unique story of arriving in Puerto Vallarta some 35 years ago and then headed off with our awesome guide Abraham. Within ten minutes, we were in the midst of a mom humpback Cindy, who visits every year and is recognized by the ladder of propeller scars on her right side, and her 3-week old baby. We then ventured off to see a handful of males breaching and flopping their pecs near the east end of Isla Marietas. We ended our tour with a quick but incredible visit with another energetic mom in the process of teaching her month-old calf how to breach and slap the surface.

Whales up close - There were tons of whales in the bay and we got up close. It was great. But that had little to do with the boat and “Captain”. The boat was tiny with a little outboard engine. The operator steered to follow other boats and was mostly on his phone the entire time with little enthusiasm. After 90 minutes he was ready to go back.

Lackluster trip - Captain was late by approx 20 mins, then he ended the trip 20 mins early. So a 2 hr ride became only an hour and 20 minutes. Captain barely spoke to us to provide commentary but was on his cell phone most of the trip organizing his future trips for the day. Overall would not recommend.
