Setting Sail to Paradise

The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon as I found myself in Punta Mita, ready to embark on an adventure that promised to be unlike any other. The Marietas Islands Safari had been on my radar for a while, and I was eager to experience the hidden gems of this marine sanctuary. As a professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours in the ocean, but this trip offered something different—a chance to explore the underwater world and witness the beauty of nature from a new perspective.

One of the highlights of the trip was trying out the Subwing, a new water toy that lets you glide through the water while being towed by the boat. My friend and I couldn’t stop laughing as we soared beneath the waves, feeling like dolphins playing in the sea. It was pure joy, a moment of carefree fun that I’ll cherish forever.

As the day came to a close, we gathered for lunch on the boat. Eduardo had prepared a special pasta salad for me, taking into account my shellfish allergy. It was a thoughtful gesture that made the day even more special. The team also captured our adventure on GoPro cameras, creating a video montage that they shared with us at no extra cost. It was the perfect memento of a perfect day.
