Excellent beginner experience with younger kids - My daughter's (9 and 10 y.o.) and I took part in the two day lessons and had a blast! The whole team is excellent, very patient, giving constant support and tips during the process. All three of us were beginners, as were the three others that were doing lessons the same time we were, but Saskya and her team had everyone up on their boards very quickly! My youngest daughter was done early on the second day, but some of the crew watched her play on the beach while me and my older daughter finished the second day lesson. The waves were an excellent size for beginners and I have no regrets about the booking. We will definitely return next time we come to DR and I would recommend to anyone else that is considering learning to surf. Also, very happy we got the photo package. Their photographer did an excellent job.

Amazing Experience! - My partner surfed here in Cornwall,UK before we met but I’ve never given it a go.
We happened upon Macao Beach back in 2021 as part of a dune buggy excursion and fell in love with the sandy beach and azure blue ocean and I vowed to return and have a surf lesson, and March 2026, we did it!
As a 50 year old with osteoarthritis in the knee, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to stand up on the board fast enough to catch a wave but Saskya assured me that her team would get me up and surfing, and she was right! A huuuuge thank you has to go to Super Surf Instructor Bogdan who has the strength of an ox and managed somehow to get me up and surfing! I felt 100% safe and confident in the care of the instructors and each time I started to feel I needed help, they were right there looking after me. Gill, my partner was up and surfing again after about 5 minutes needing supervision only, which was great as the instructors catered to our individual abilities. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Macao Beach, Punta Cana Surf Adventure will be our first stop. Thank you 🏄🏽♂️🏄🏼♂️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Punta Cana Surf Adventure - My two teenagers and I went surfing for the first time and had a great experience with Punta Cana Surf Adventure. We had transportation included with the private lessons making it very easy. Staff were friendly and helpful and we had a great time. Beautiful beach and not too busy. Surf instructors were positive, helpful, and lots of fun. Would definitely go back again.

Great for family surfing - We had an amazing experience with Punta Cana Surf Adventure! They took great care of our family of five and made sure everyone felt comfortable in the water. Our kids each had their own instructor, which was fantastic for building confidence and getting lots of individual attention, while my wife and I shared an instructor. The team was patient, attentive, and really focused on making sure we all had fun while learning.
The beach itself was perfect for beginners,soft sand and no coral to worry about, so it felt very safe for the kids.
To top it all off, they finished the session by cutting open fresh coconuts for coconut water right on the beach. It was the perfect way to wrap up a few hours of surfing.
Highly recommend if you're in Punta Cana and want a great family-friendly surf experience!

Fantastic! - We had a fantastic time! The owner, a fabulous local woman (love a local girl boss!), gave the initial on-land lesson. Then, the two of us hit the water with our instructor (whose name I sadly can’t remember). He was patient, kind, and encouraging. I had more success than I’ve ever had in the past. It’s a sand break. We went at high tide and felt very safe. The transportation from our hotel was great. Thanks for an amazing day!

great time surfing! - Had a great time with my 9 year old trying surfing for the first time! Staff were very encouraging and friendly, and especially helped shuttle my child back and forth in the waves. Got some awesome pictures too and drone video! Very successful and worthwhile experience

Definitely worth a try - My first time surfing and it was a good experience. I thought the location was perfect except for that it felt a bit crowded in the water at times with another surf school operating close by. This made me nervous. Easy communication via WhatsApp and they provide transportation which was helpful.

Do not respect the time we paid for - The booked lesson was 2 hours, from 11:00 to 13:00. The shuttle they sent us arrived at the surf school at 11:05. By the time we talked with them (e.g. will you buy pictures, can we leave at 2:00 instead of 1:00 pm...) and put the rash guards on, it was 11:20 when the class started.
When they said “last wrinkle”, we came to the edge and asked an observer the time: he answered us 12:45! We consulted to see what we could do about this lack but as all the instructors were out of the water, the surfboards were stowed away and we had also removed our rash guards, there was an easy evil and we said nothing! In addition, all in Spanish so we had fewer weapons for our fight. General disappointment 🤬
In addition, apart from a 10 minutes of rather superficial explanation, I and two other women received only 2-3 recommendations as to which technique to improve.
Instructions talk a lot with each other and very lively, they have conversations, so don't really look at our piroulettes, pass flat comments on us
(I have a small Spanish repertoire) so in the end, we don’t get the assistance or advice we paid for in addition to stealing time! We paid for it .... The school is well rated but on our side, 3/4 indicated a lack in the whole process. Too bad.
