My wife and I took a trip... - My wife and I took a trip on Gone Dog with Willy and Danny. These guys work well together and are so nice. Had a great time. The day couldn’t have been nicer. Great weather. Beautiful water. Would definitely go out again

It’s good - We were scheduled to go fish when the waters weren’t safe, we were notified with plenty of time and were even able to reschedule for a calmer day. We were picked up on time, and no issues getting to the boat. We were promptly on our way, while our kiddo got sick and we had to turn back earlier than we planned the captain and first mate were understanding and got us back safely. We did manage to catch a fish while we were out, too!

Great day - We went fishing on Blue Sky on 5/23/25 with Miguel and Miguel. The fishing was great. We caught a bunch of mahi mahi, the biggest was 48” and a barracuda. They were super nice and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend them and look forward to fishing with them on next trip to Punta Cana.

Highly recommend - My husband and I had an incredibly amazing and memorable trip out with Captain Yustas and first mate Eddie on boat Fortuna! Not only were they very personable but knowledgeable as well! It felt like we were on board with family ❤️ We did a lot of reeling and had a super successful day!

Great day fishing in Punta Cana - We had an amazing day with Big Marlin Charters in Punta Cana! We did the 6-hour deep sea fishing tour, and honestly, we could have stayed out even longer. The crew was super friendly and professional, and they made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The highlight of the trip was reeling in several mahi mahi and a couple of barracuda – such an adrenaline rush! The boat was clean and well-maintained, and the views out on the water were incredible. If you're looking for a great fishing experience in Punta Cana, I highly recommend Big Marlin Charters. We’re already talking about booking another trip next time!

Great fishing trip - My wife and I had an awesome half day fishing charter with captain Miguel. We were on our last day of vacation and booked a fishing very spontaneously. The boat Sherlock was beautiful, gear was very nice and fishing was a blast. Miguel was awesome too. He was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. If we're ever in the Dominican republic again we'll definitely plan another fishing with him. Definitely recommend capt Miguel and boat Sherlock.

Amazing experience. Very... - Amazing experience. Very professional and hard working captain and first mate. Only thing we wish we knew was how expensive the restaurant was where we got our fish cooked. Jellyfin charged us $25 per person (4 people) to cook the 1 fileted mahi mahi.

Great quality fishing company - We booked a 6 hour fishing trip as we fancied a bit of fishing to break up the monotony of being in a resort.
We were picked up on time by a really friendly driver and he had the best AC of our entire holiday!
The boat was great, equipment was really good and in great condition, we didn't see much of the captain as he was above us, but the first mate was friendly, keeping us fed and hydrated. He makes an awesome sandwich!
As soon as we set off the rods were down and for the entire trip we probably only had about 6 bites and managed to land 2 fish. The barracuda seem to have a knack for getting off of the hook, but that's fishing!
Our first fish was a monster white marlin, our other fish was a little thing, I can't remember what it was, but we still had a great time.
It would have been nice to be able to take the smaller fish back to resort for dinner, like had happened on other charters I've been on, but sadly this wasn't offered. That would have made it a 5 star review.

At Least Try To Find Fish - Booked a 6 hr trip for my wife and I on the Gone Dog. It was the first calm day after several days of high seas. The boat and first mate were fine. The mate did what he could to catch fish. The Captain seemed disinterested and tired. We ran the same area just a few miles from shore for the entire time despite no bites. I was disappointed that no effort was made to look another place for fish. I get that fishing is fishing and nothing is guaranteed but at least make the effort. The admin and logistics for the trip were excellent. If I were to try this charter service again it would not be on the Gone Dog.

It was cancelled when we showed up - Unfortunately the trip was cancelled when we showed up at boat. Said his motor was messed up. I would have thought he would have found a fellow fisherman or the company would have found us another charter. But nope it was just a sorry it’s cancelled.
