So much fun, amazing hospitality! - I was out fly fishing with APC for 4 days, 3 on the reef boat and 1 on Marlin Fever. Definitely limited space to cast on the Marlin Fever but still fun with a group. Carlo and Jose were great at operating the reef boat, we even took it out to find mahi mahi one day. Note that when it comes to inshore (bonefish/tarpon) this is not the sightfishing you get in mexico and bahamas, so you are on your own when it comes to sighting. Jose was great at hooking Mahi's on the spin rod and pulling the school over, which was all I needed in order to start hooking them. Highly recommend booking the reef boat on a calm day and trying for mahi if you want a challenge on the fly!

Private is Better!! - Had a great private boat excursion which was fantastic. The boat captain Alex did a great job running us around on the water, taking us to a fantastic snorkel spot and introducing us to various entertaining facts about the area we were in around Punta Cana. The boat was top notch and was a great way to get out in the water as compared to just hanging out on the beach. We also spent sometime at the natural swimming pool which was just beautiful. Thanks for an awesome excursion .... private really is better ... for just a bit more than a group per person price, we had our own boat, own captain, drinks included!! No dealing with the crowds and everything was for us!

Not fly fishing! - Booked this trip for my wife because she was curious to try fly fishing in the waters around Punta Cana. Checked that it was fly fishing, asked whether gear was provided, and still when my wife went on the trip it was just trolling. No fly fishing. If there wasn’t an option to fly fish she would much rather have gone deep sea fishing, rather than a day of hard work in the sun in a little boat. I can’t remember her ever being less excited about a fishing trip.

Horrible Experience Fishing Inshore - I booked a 4 hour inshore fishing trip for 2 people. Alex was our guide for the day. We started fishing in the marina. Alex gives both my friend and I 2 rods with broken tips at the top of each rod. Really??? He had 2 more spare rods. The reels on these rods were total garbage. The drag on one was not working at all. After 2 1/2 hours I got fed up and asked him to show me his lure box. He refused . I looked around and found it. It had maybe 8 different lures mainly for freshwater fishing. I told Alex to give me a fly rod to use. No fly rod on board the boat. He shows me a Mepps spinner and tells me this is what they use on a fly rod. Really? At this point, I told him to call the owner, Anthony. I wanted my money back now. Anthony tells me the guide they had for us this morning cancelled and he did the best to accommodate us. He refunded my deposit. I payed nothing. He had no choice because he was dealing with an experienced trout fisherman with over 45 years on the water. He wanted to rebook me for another day at no cost. I told him to forget it. Be careful with this charter. Make sure they have the proper gear before going out with them. They played me for a fool and got caught. The joke is on them not me.

Don't do it - The fishing ...nope. Snorkeling was great once our guide was able to handle the anchor. I was too squeezy from bouncing waiting to set anchor. Jumped in with basically an emergency life vest. ... saw fish but wasn't comfortable. Told our
